Less is More One Layer Splatters Challenge using Stampin’ Up!’s Gorgeous Grunge and Four Feathers
Good morning peeps, how’re you today? It’s a lovely sunny day here. Spring (hopefully) seems here to stay now!
Today I’m sharing a card I made for the Less is More one layer splatters challenge. There are so many stamp sets I could have chosen for this card, but I decided on a solid one if you see what I mean?
Update – I’ve just posted this on the Less is More site and seen a very similar card that was posted yesterday by a lady in Australia. I made this card at the weekend. I knew I should have posted it on Monday – bah humbug lol (not really)! Anyway my point is it never ceases to amaze me how two people in different parts of the world can have similar ideas!!
I stamped the top feather (from Four Feathers) onto the card first. I chose this stamp set not only for the solid images but because I haven’t used it for ages and it keeps looking at me accusingly for being neglected (mind you so do most of my stamp sets at the moment or they would if they could lol!).
I then stamped the feather onto two sticky notes, which I then cut out and used for masking – once for stamping the second feather and then both for over stamping with the Gorgeous Grunge splatters. I also ended up using the splatters from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar set to hide a few mistakes.
Overall I’m really pleased with the card, although I’m fighting the urge to stamp the feathers on scrap card and cut them out to layer on top!
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s simple card – I think it’s quite sunny, which matches my mood lol!
Oh and before I forget (and I almost did) here’s this week’s Weekly deals – there’s loads of them this week:
Thanks for stopping by.
