Remarkable You from Stampin’ Up! #GDP010

Global Design Project #GDP010 sketch challenge card using Remarkable You from Stampin’ Up!

With all the Christmas crafting that’s been going on lately, I’ve neglected my other non-seasonal stamp sets, so it was really nice to get one out yesterday to create my entry for the Global Design Project #GDP010 sketch challenge. I used Remarkable You from Stampin’ Up! – one of my favourites for colouring – except I’ve not coloured this card!

I used the Melon Mambo ribbon to create the “frame” from the GDP sketch and to add a splash of colour.  I didn’t think about lining up the flowers on the card base and the front panel, which perhaps would have looked better? What do you think?

I’m getting very excited, now, as this time Thursday I will be at OnStage Live – the annual Stampin’ Up! conference. Can’t wait. I’m frantically trying to prep some swaps – I didn’t manage any last year as we were in the middle of a building project. I’ll share my swaps with you later on, so make sure you pop back to see them.

In the meantime, if you would like any of the products used and are happy to shop with me, simply click on the table below and you will be taken to my online shop, don’t forget to enter the code shown below and on the side bar for your free gift. Thanks for your support! 🙂

  1. Like you Tracy, I went for something non Christmas this time around too. It is refreshing to see “other” projects this time of year. Good thinking using ribbon to separate the panels. The pop of colour is so eye catching. Have fun at Onstage. I am heading to Auckland for it and getting really excited now! Thanks for playing with us at Global Design Project this week.

  2. Tracy – What a gorgeous interpretation of this sketch! I love how you’ve stamped the images in black-and-white and layered them over the two panels. The pops of pink are GREAT! I’m so happy you played along with this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge. Thanks!

  3. Love this take on the sketch! Such a great way to play with background/foreground and add so much dimension. Beautiful work. Thanks for playing along with Global Design Project.
