Butterflies & Timeless Textures from Stampin’ Up! #GDP021

Butterflies & Timeless Textures from Stampin’ Up! #GDP021

I’ve got two cards featuring Butterflies & Timeless Textures from Stampin’ Up! for you today. The first one I’m entering into the Global Design Project Colour Challenge #GDP021

GDP021

I’m not very good at colour challenges. I find them ….well… challenging! Ha ha ha! I decided I would see what using the baby wipe ink pad technique would produce. I thought the flourish from Timeless Textures would make a good starting point. First I splattered some plain white card fronts with drops of the 3 colours…. and decided not to use them at all!!!! 😬 Not to worry, I’m sure they’ll come in handy for something else!

For this card I decided on one butterfly in Melon Mambo. The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed on to the Free Sale-a-bration Botanical Gardens Vellum and mounted over a strip of Wisteria Wonder.

The next card was assembled under strict instructions from my 4 year old who is off sick from school at the moment. He was sat under my table as I was creating the cards. I had to keep sticking the card under the table to get his approval of what colour butterflies and where to put them! Ha ha ha

Obviously this one is his favourite and he did a great job I think! Ha ha ha

  1. Isn’t it great when you can be guided by a wee helper?! Hope he is on the mend now. My personal favourite is the first card with the vellum overlay on the flag. It really softens the Wisteria card allowing your multi coloured motifs to shine. Thanks for playing at Global Design Project this week!

  2. I love your cards!

  3. Love this Tracy, the multi-coloured flourishes create such a pretty, soft take on this very bright colour challenge. Both cards are pretty, but I really like the composition of the first card! xxx
