Thank You Card using more Stampin’ Up! product #CCMC401

It’s time for the next challenge over at Create with Connie & Mary. I don’t know where the week has gone – it’s just flown by! Even with the Bedlam Brothers off school! Ha ha ha – they are lovely really! 😉 This week it’s a sketch challenge and I created another thank you card using more Stampin’ Up! product!

I wasn’t really thinking colour scheme when I came up with my card, but I actually love how the colours I ended up with work well together.

Thank You Card using more Stampin' Up! product Tracy May #CCMC401

I started with my embossed (or debossed??) panel for the background. I wanted a subtle background which is why I used the reverse as the polka dots look softer this way. That led me to using Smoky Slate for the next piece and then soft sky for the banner. Once I had those two colours then Daffodil Delight seemed the obvious choice to me. I am using spring like images and colours an awful lot at the moment – maybe I’m trying to single handedly banish winter lol!

The flower is of course from the Botanical Builders Framelits as is the leaf cut using old olive. And finally the sentiment is from my old faithful Another Thank You.

Please do go and check out all the other cards from the wonderful design team and do have a go. It’s great fun – I promise! 😀

  1. So after I picked up my jaw off the floor when I saw this card, the first thought that came to my head was “STUNNING!” It’s “perfectly perfect in every way”! Seriously, you rocked it! *high five*

  2. Tracy this card is so so pretty!

  3. Lisa Martz says:

I love blue and yellow together…this card is very pretty! I seriously hope these framelits make the “cut” and are in next year’s catalog! Great card!

  4. I love your colour choices too Tracy – so clean and fresh and definitely encouraging warmer days! I love the debossed background for your statement flower – let’s all hope these are staying around!

  5. I love your take on the sketch this week. I have yet to use these framelits. Now I see your card – I’m going to have to go play after I leave comments! I love how you placed your sentiment going up. Adds a very nice touch!

  6. So pretty…love the CAS design even with a busy sketch. And the touch of silver bling and embossed background really sets it off! Great job with the sketch this week!

  7. The colors are amazing together, Tracy! So calming and serene! Such a lovely card this week!
