blog hop logo

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

When I first saw the Love You Lots hostess set at OnStage Local earlier this year, it instantly went on my wish list. It’s one of those cute, kiddie stamp sets with a mixture of cute and cuddly creatures and sentiments. So when I saw that it on the demonstrator pre-order list I was extremely happy. In case you didn’t know – one of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is that we get our hands on new product a month before each new catalogue is released – I know – awesome isn’t it?!!

There was also some stunning new Designer Series Paper available on the pre-order too – Pop of Pink – that I just had to have. I’m determined not to hoard it this time and have been using it for a few projects including todays, which is a set of four water coloured greetings cards.

I Pop of Pink DSP uses Melon Mambo, which I think goes fantastically well with Basic Grey.

These cards were really quick and easy to make. I stamped the images in Basic Black Archival ink onto watercolour paper and then I painted them using an Aquapainter and drops of ink from the Stampin’ Up! ink refill bottles mixed with some water in a pallette.

Top Tip: You can leave the ink to dry in the pallette and reuse it another time. All you need to do is add some water to reactivate it and then mix it up as the pigment tends to separate when it dries.

Well I do hope you like my project and enjoy the rest of the blog hop! Hop over and see what the lovely Heidi has in store for you next!
