Hello! Annual Catalogue 2016 – 2017

Welcome to the Hello! Annual Catalogue 2016-2017 Blog Hop! You’ll be hopping around some amazing Stampin’ Up!® Independent Demonstrators blogs, each with an inspirational project, featuring new catalogue products.
Currently you’re visiting Tracy May from London, UK. Hello there! You can continue hopping by using the previous and next buttons at the end of this post. Now, let’s scroll down to see what I’ve been making using In This World by Stampin' Up!
I was going to be oh so brave with my card for today and create a mixed media extravaganza! So I got out my gesso, taped my Whisper White Card stock down to a board and slapped the gesso all over it! I started building my collage, stamping images from In This World. Then I painted over parts of the images again with more gesso, so I could stamp over the top with another image.
I got out my palette of dried inks from my Stampin' Up! ink refills. Then I sprayed the inks with water to reactivate them and got out the aqua painters. After that, it all went horribly wrong! I lost my confidence and so ended up playing it safe! Lol!

I do really like my card today but it wasn't exactly what I had in mind! Although, I still used gesso to form the base on top of the Whisper White Card stock for water colouring over and I love the way it has subtly changed the tone of the Night Of Navy ink I used for the background.
Thank you for visiting today. The next stop is the talented Anja Luft from Germany. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

  4. Amazing! Loving the background. The butterfly looks like it’s 3-D to me, perhaps it’s the darker colour on edges of the wings…..it’s just lovely. Hats off to your ‘it all went horribly wrong” card because my “it all went horribly wrong” cards always end up in the bin! This certainly looks like it all went fabulously well lol. Have a lovely weekend, cheers Donna Z 🙂
