Chase Your Dreams by Stampin’ Up!

Chase Your Dreams by Stampin’ Up!

I absolutely love today’s cards using Chase Your Dreams by Stampin’ Up! I’ve been waiting for this set for a long time. Thank you SU! The stamp set features famous monument from 5 different cities around the world.  I had the water colour pencils out (yes again! lol) and had the idea of painting the relevant country flag over the image. I had to have a few goes to get them right, except for the French flag which turned out great first time (in my humble opinion 😉)

First, of course, we have Tower Bridge, London, UK and the Union Jack/Flag. This was a tricky one but I think I got there in the end.

Then we hop across the channel to Paris, France and L’Arc de Triumph. Actually this one is my favourite. I love how the French flag turned out.

We move into Germany next and (I think/hope) Cologne Cathedral! (Updated 11/02/17 – actually I’ve been told it’s Neuschwanstein Castle! so I got it wrong oops! 😆) I had a few goes before I ended up with something I was happy with. If you have the black too dark it obliterates the image!

Next we cross the Atlantic heading into New York, USA with the Empire State Building! I should have  started the American Flag a bit further down I think!

And finally we head down under to Sydney, Australia with the Sydney Opera House! I think this one was actually the hardest and I’m not entirely happy with the stars so don’t look too close, ok?

So what do you think? I certainly had fun making them. Originally I was thinking of leaving them as postcards but I decided I would rather send them out as cards!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Love these! I haven’t purchased this stamp set, yet. Seeing this might change my mind!

Fantastic job showcasing these stamps with the national flag for each landmark! By the way, that’s Neuschwanstein Castle (Schloss Neuschwanstein) in Füßen, Germany not the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom). Thanks so much for sharing your creativity!

  3. I love these cards! I absolutely think these are fabulous! And your watercolored flags really make a statement with each of these cards. Thank you for sharing them online!
