Dragonfly Dreams by Stampin’ Up! #CCMC442

Oh my – where oh where has the last week gone? I can’t believe it’s Thursday again and time for new challenge over at Create with Connie & Mary! My first reaction when I first saw these colours was abject terror! Lol! I’m prone to exaggeration :-). But then when I looked again, I suddenly thought Dragonflies followed quickly by water colour to merge and blend the colours nicely.

So off I went to get out my Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. Then I noticed my Stampin’ Success magazine (an exclusive magazine Stampin’ Up! send out bimonthly to their demonstrators), which had arrived a few days earlier and got distracted flicking through that. And that is where I finalised the idea for my card today. It’s a CASE (copy and share everything) from one that I saw in the magazine. I just loved it so much I had to make my own , using this week’s colour scheme of course!

The base  layer on this card is Emerald Envy with Pacific Point Enamel dots. I just love how the colours merged under the dragonflies. In fact I used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits but Dragonfly Dreams sounds so much better doesn’t it? Also that is the name of the bundle (stamp set and dies) if you are interested in purchasing both!

For this card I used Pacific Point as the base layer, which I think looks equally as good! Who would have thought I could get these colours to work? Lol! I’m not very good with the colour challenges!

I do hope you like them. Please do pop over and see what the rest of the wonderfully talented team have designed for you this week!
