New Recruiting Offer

It’s another fantastic offer from Stampin’ Up! as part of their 25th Anniversary celebration. Join in the fun and become a demo for only £25!

I love being a Stampin’ Up! demo. I do parties, run classes, make lovely things. I am part of fantastic group of crafters and we share – we share experiences, knowledge, projects and much more.  Recently one of my fellow Pinkies posted a picture on our Facebook page of a beautiful swap she had received at an SU event from Jenni Pauli, a German demo. I really like Jenni’s style and decided I would case the swap she made as it was so pretty.  (Click here to see Jenni’s original)

I decided to do notebook cover though instead.

I changed a few bits and pieces on the embellishment and used a different colour scheme too. I liked it so much I made another one and also made a sticky note holder too.

 Then I made some more….

So guess what?  I’m going to give them away ……to you, as a gift when you join my team! So between the 7th and 21st October not only do you get to join Stampin’ Up! for £25 you can also get this fantastic gift from me. It includes the notebook and sticky note, plus a Stampin’ Up! shopping bag (these are very sought after trust me!) and a swatch card with all the current colours of card stock on it.

So go on what are you waiting for – give me a call (07788746908).

Gorgeous and Pretty Grunge using Stampin’ Up! ® products

I’ve been feeling indecisive the last couple of weeks. It may be that we are all feeling a bit unsettled at home at the moment, with starting school and a new playgroup – oh and some teething thrown in to keep us all awake at night too!!

Anyway I wanted to share the projects we made last Thursday in class. As I said, I have been a bit indecisive lately and this reflected itself in trying to choose the colour scheme for my designs. I love girly, feminine designs but its not something that I normally tend to make myself. I seem to end up at the clean and simple end of the craft theme spectrum, but I really wanted to use some ribbon and come up with a pretty look. I tried out to colour schemes and I really like both. I wasn’t sure which one the ladies would prefer so in the end I decided to let them chose which one they wanted to make. Both schemes were chosen and one lady even decided to mix it up a little and do combine the two.

My first colour scheme was Soft Suede and Blushing Bride. I used Blushing Bride Core’dinations Card Stock for the tag, which I sanded prior to stampin with Soft Suede ink. The background is Gorgeous Grunge stamped in Whisper White Craft ink. I think the Chevron ribbon is the perfect ribbon for this tag!

I then tried out Crumb Cake and Marina Mist. This time I heat embossed the image on the Core’dinations tag. The background is Gorgeous Grunge stamped in Crumb Cake. I also stamped the poppy from Simply Sketched on the card, first in crumb cake and then I overstamped with Versamark and heat embossed in white. I removed some of the versamark from the stamp before stamping to get a broken image to show some of the crumb cake ink below.

I have a confession! There was originally a celophane bag in the Marina Mist one with some chocoloate in. They didn’t last long enough to make it into the photo! Ooops.
We also made another card with some DSP but I seem to have neglected to take any photos of those. I will have to get them out and take some pictures in the morning when the light is better.
For now though, if you would like to make these projects you can buy all the products used in my Online store here (Click the Shop button top right once you’re on my Stampin’ Up! site). Pinkie’s Autumn/Winter Catalogue bloghop!

September 14, 2013 By

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping! If you have arrived here from Lisa’s blog, a big hello to you………

Now I know that this is a blog hop for the Autumn/Winter Catalogue and you probably automatically associate it with Christmas or Hallowe’en or even Thanksgiving for our American friends, but neither of the two projects I am showcasing today are any of these. My projects are “trans-seasonal” so it just goes to show how versatile Stampin’ Up! products are.

When the topic (and timing) of doing this blog post came up, I had a lightbulb moment. I would use products from the new catalogue to make the gift bag for our contribution to my sister’s and husband’s honeymoon (her wedding was last week) as I rarely get to craft, without there being a specific event, due to time constaints, two whirlwinds for children etc, etc. In this case I managed to combine my blog post project with a real-life event – two birds, one stone springs to mind!

I just loved the Expressions Thinlits from the moment I saw them and had been itching to use them as soon as possible. So the “Love” expression was perfect for what I needed and as I equally loved the
Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF for short) I just had to use it on the real red banner I stuck the “Love” sentiment to.

 All that glitter’s….

…. all over the floor. I used a sponge dauber and versamark ink with heat and stick powder to create the glittery spots on the bag. I had a slight mishap with the glitter though as I accidentally directed the heat gun over the loose glitter whilst I was trying to shake it over the sticky spots and it blew it all over me and all over the floor too. Note to self – heat guns blow like a hairdryer so turn off in close proximity to lots of loose glitter! Not to worry though you get so much in the little tub you would barely know I had used any of it anyway.

I still have an ahhh moment when I look at pictures of the little bag. I love it! The products I used are:

From the Autumn/Winter Catalogue:
Mini Muslin Bags 132180Expressions Thinlits Dies 132171, Foil Sheets Silver 132178, Pretty Presents Designer Bows 132186, (Gold &) Silver Stampin’ Glitter 132205, Stylish Stripes TIEF 132174

From the Annual Catalogue:
Sponge daubers 102892, Heat & Stick Powder 100625, Versamark ink 102283, Real Red cardstock 106578, Heat Tool 129054 (UK plug), 129055 (EU plug), Big Shot Magnetic Platform 130658

And so on to my next glittery offering (no accidents with this one thankfully). The day after my sister’s wedding last week, there was another family gathering for one of my aunt’s and uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary, so actually three birds, one stone would be more appropriate ha ha.

As it is the golden anniversary I have used gold glitter and foil this time.  I stamped the background wording with the Journal wheel from the annual catalogue on both the card and the envelope and used heat and stick powder again to stick the glitter to it. The envelope is actually made out of vellum paper. The 50 is stamped using the new Morning Post Numbers set in the autumn/winter catalogue and covered in glitter too.

The products used are:

From the Autumn/Winter Catalogue:
Expressions Thinlits Dies 132171, Foil Sheets Gold132622 132178, Gold (& Silver) Stampin’ Glitter 132205, Morning Post Numbers Stamp Set 131841
From the Annual Catalogue:
Heat & Stick Powder 100625, Versamark ink 102283,  Heat Tool 129054 (UK plug), 129055 (EU plug), Shimmery White Card stock 121717, White Vellum A4 106584, Small heart punch 117193, Travel Journal Wheel 126937, Hearts a Flutter stamp set (c) 129252, Hearts a Flutter Framelits 130159, Big Shot Magnetic Platform 130658

So next stop is Nicole’s blog, why don’t you go and take a peek at what she has been up to? Thanks for stopping by……..

Three weddings and a …….using Stampin’ Up! ® products

….50th Wedding Anniversary!

After a hiatus on the wedding front over the last couple of years, there has suddenly been a flurry. This weekend is the 2nd in almost as many weeks with the 3rd in a couple of weekend’s time.

Those of you who follow me on Facebook will know that I recently went to France for a wedding. I had wanted to post a picture of the card I made for my friend, but my Mum saw it and wanted me to make one for her to give, for my sister’s wedding this weekend (hmmmm I really ought to start charging for commissions!!). It is also my Aunt and Uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary so that’s two family parties one after the other this weekend.

For the theme for her invitations, my Sister had gone with the “Love” logo from the film Philadelphia. I used that as the basis for the colour scheme for my card to her (black and red). I stamped the background with the Travel Journal Wheel Stamp and then punched out some hearts and the word Love using the ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet and Numbers stamp set.

I added a few rhinestones and spritzed with the vanilla shimmer smooch sprtiz. The envelope is made from Vellum. I used the Mr & Mrs stamp from the Label Love set and I also spritzed with the Vanilla shimmer. What do you think?

And so here is the card I made for my Mum to give to my sister. This is the same as the original card I made for my friend in France. When I made the original card I had been struggling, initially, for inspiration as all the wedding cards I had seen were either really busy (I’m a clean and simple kind of girl) or seemed too old for the people I made them for. Then I saw a particular card on Pinterest, not a wedding card, that I thought I would case (click here to see) but once I got started it kind of evolved more into the card below, which is similar to a different card I had seen (click here to see).

I hope you like them.

Here’s the products I used:

Card stock: Shimmery White 121717, White Vellum A4 106584, A4 – Coastal Cabana 130024, Soft Suede 119982, Blushing Bride 131287, Real Red 106578, Basic Black 121688,
Ink pads: Staz On Black 101406, Soft Suede 126978, Real Red 126949
Stamp sets: Travel Journal Wheel 126937, ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet and Numbers 130565, Label Love (C) 130622,
Accessories: Full Heart Punch 119883, Small Heart Punch 117193, Artisan Label Punch 130920, White Baker’s Twine 124262, Linen Thread 104199, Rhinestone Basic Jewels 119246, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz 118772

If you would like to order any of the products used you can order directly online (SHOP NOW) or you can still order via email or by phone. Also if you would like more information about becoming a demontrator or hosting your own Stampin’ Up! party please don’t hesitate to contact me on 07788746908 or

Etcetera, Etcetera, Etcetera……

September 1, 2013 By

……. is the name of one of the gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers (DSP) 130129 13,25 € | £9.95 for 12 sheets. My husband couldn’t understand why I was so pleased with myself last night whilst I was wrapping birthday gifts for his Mum, but there are 3 particular designs that are just perfect for her, as she used to be a seamstress and taught at a college part-time when my husband was a little boy.

I’m sure you can all understand why I was so happy can’t you? I used the Extra-Gift box 132147 4,95 € | £3.75 (for 3 Kraft boxes), which is from the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue, and covered it with one of the sheets of DSP which has a dress-makers mannequin as the main focus of the design.

There are 4 boxes of chocolates in this one large box from my sons.

I then used the sheet which is is a replica of a “pattern” to wrap the present from David and myself. It looked quite masculine, as its in Night of Navy, so I prettied it up with a belly band made from the tape measure patterned paper and added a few paper flowers and a Very Vintage Designer Button 129327 6,95 € | £5.50.

We’re going to visit and hand over the gifts this afternoon. The surprise won’t be spoilt by posting the pictures on my blog as my in-laws are not silver surfers. They are quite techno-phobic to be honest. My son made me laugh a few weeks ago, when my father-in-law commented that Tom and Jerry was around when he was a little boy but that he didn’t have a television at home. My 4 year old son was surprised and asked him if he only had an iPad then? (The boys watch Cbeebies programmes in the iPlayer app on my iPad). He couldn’t understand that things like the iPad have not always been around!!

Well I hope you like my project for today. I will be sharing more projects with you in a couple of weeks using products from the new Autmn/Winter Catalogue, which is out now. Click on the picture below to go to the online version. There are soooooooooo many lovely goodies you will want them all!!

I’ll be back tomorrow with a great offer and the new Best of 25 year stamp set!

Look what we made in class…..

August 23, 2013 By

I held my monthly card class a week early this month (usually held last Thursday of the month) as I am away on holiday next week. Originally I wasn’t going to hold one at all but decided after the last class to bring it forward as everyone was willing to come along.

I’m so glad I did, I had a great time and everyone loved the project we made especially as we used a few different techniques, which were new to some of the ladies, including using a wheel to stamp the butterflies and paper piercing, dry embossing as well as heat embossing. That’s why classes are so good as you get to try out so many different techniques you haven’t tried before and can decide if you like them before you invest in the kit to do them at home.

Stampin Up butterfly collection elegant bitty butterfly punch Tracy May card making

We started off making the 4 notelets in red, orange, yellow and blue. Where possible I used contrasting, darker tones of the same colour for the punched out butterflies. These were a happy accident as my original design for this class was a bit different. I’m glad it didn’t work out though as I love how these butterflies turned out.

Stampin Up butterfly collection elegant bitty butterfly punch Tracy May card making

I think this has to be my favourite. The 3 rows of butterflies are stamped using the Butterfly Collection Jumbo wheel in Pool Party Ink. The butterfly punches are from Bermuda Bay cardstock and the notelet is finished off with a couple of rows of paper-pierced holes and a small Bermuda Bay button and white bakers twine bow.

I used different embellishments in different colours. This one used a Crushed Curry Candy dot and brad base.

We then completed the project by making the notelet holder. The eagle eyed among you will notice I have cased a card from page 90 of the Annual Catalogue to decorate the front of the box lid.  Phew… no wonder the class overran a little but no-one seemed to mind.

I was recently contacted by someone, who was interested in coming to my class but it was a little bit far for her to come and it got me thinking that there must be other people out there who would love to attend classes and crafty get togethers as crafting with other people is so much fun. You instantly have something in common to talk about and break the ice when you first meet someone new. So what about you? Are you in the same position where there is no class nearby to you? Have you ever thought about becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and holding your own classes? It’s not that hard you know. I started off by inviting friends, then took out a free advert in the free local paper and also my Stampin’ Up! website all of which is helping my class to grow.

If you are interested I would love to talk to you and share my experience with you. So come on – come and join in all the fun! Give me a call on 07788746908 or email me at

Products used for this project are:
Stamp – Butterfly Collection Jumbo Wheel 9,95 € | £7.95 130112 ( you will also need the Jumbo wheel handle 6,95 € | £5.25 103661)
