Sneak Peak Slider Card

I’ve recently started holding monthly classes, which I love. It’s a chance for me to share all the tips and techniques I’ve picked up over the last 18 months, since I first stumbled into the world of card making and papercrafting.

I have a few regular attendees (hi ladies) and we have a great time, chatting, putting the world to rights and of course making lovely items to take home.

If you would like to join me my next class is next week on Thursday 25th July. If you would like to know more then either check out the Classes tab at the top of the blog for details or simply give me a call and I’ll happily talk you through them. I would love to see you at the class.

Here’s a sneak peak of one of the projects we will be making.

I will post details and a full list of products used next week after the class.

If you are in the UK, I hope you’re enjoying the heatwave. I certainly am but I think it’s getting to my two year old a bit. He’s fallen asleep standing up in his buggy (only way he will travel these days!) and has been having mini temper tantrums. Today he just suddenly shouted “I – DON’T – LIKE – PINEAPPLES!” No idea why – there was not a pineapple in sight!

If you would like to order any products from Stampin’ Up! just let me know and I will be happy to help. Just email me or call me on 07788746908.

Washi meets MDS!

Stampin Up Washi Tape Elegant Bitty Butterfly Grunge Tracy May Card Making

Having seen so many combinations of ink splodges and washi tape on Pinterest and Google I couldn’t wait to have a go at it myself.

So while I was waiting for my new Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to be delivered last week I had a little play with the ink splodges stamps in MDS (My Digital Studio), which is Stampin’ Up!’s digital design software, due to be released in the near future to the European market.

It’s really easy to use once you get started and I can’t wait to have another go. I’m going to design my new business cards and postcards in it and get them all printed out.

Anyways, back to my card – I printed out the splodges onto Whisper White cardstock and then layered over the image with strips of washi tape. I punched out the butterflies and stuck them over the top of the washi tape with a Stampin’ dimensional.

When my four-year-old son saw the card after I had finished, he exclaimed “Wow – that’s cool”.
I even changed the colours of the ink in MDS to match the washi tape. He is absolutely right – that is cool!

The supplies I used to create my card are as follows:

Card stock: Whisper White A4 9,75 € | £7.50 106549, Basic Gray A4 8,50 € | £6.25 121689 Accessories: Punches – Bitty Butterfly 19,25 € | £14.25 129406, Elegant Butterfly 19,25 € | £14.25 127526, Epic Day This & That Washi Tape 5,95 € | £4.50 131269

MDS will be coming soon! Check back here for more information at a later date

In the meantime if you would like to order any of the other supplies used in this card then please either give me a call on 07788746908 or email me on

Pinkies Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue Blog Hop………

  1. We’re so glad you could join us on our Blog Hop. We’ll be showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep on hopping. We love comments, so please do tell us what you think!

If you have arrived here from Caro’s blog, a big hello to you………

This is a doubly exciting blog post for me, as not only is it my first ever Pinkies blog hop, it is my first ever blog post!

I decided to do a scrapbook page for my project, as this way I can showcase some of my favourite products from the new Annual Catalogue (the new Gorgeous Grunge stamp set jumped out at me the instant I saw it in the new catalogue and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.)…

  3. …….and  also so I can introduce my blog – Bedlam & Butterflies – at the same time.

    So why Bedlam & Butterflies?
Well …. Bedlam for my two little boys aka. the Bedlam Brothers. I definitely have my hands full with these two. If they go quiet I get suspicious. I learnt that the hard way as you can see from the pictures!
When I designed the page layout in my head there was much more white space than there is in the finished page. I did consider redoing the project but I think this layout expresses the chaos of my days, so I left it as it is.

    1. …….And Butterflies?
    3. Because the very first stamp set I bought was of butterflies and then when I joined Stampin’ Up! the very first stamp set I bought was Papillon Potpourri – a set of butterflies, quickly followed by the matching punches!
