Thank You Card using Stampin’ Up! Products

Sneak Peek – Thank You Card using Stampin’ Up! Products

Ok I’m back after a long weekend off – well not off actually as two little boys require constant supervision! But it was a bank holiday weekend and a post yesterday was just not going to happen! Today’s project is another one for Global Design Challenge (#GDP034) where it’s sketch week! I decided to do a Thank You Card using Stampin’ Up! Products – a new stamp set – Thankful Thoughts – which I’m sure will soften the blow of losing Another Thank You once I’ve used it a bit more! I’ve stopped using Another Thank You as it’s already sold out on the Retiring List!

So here’s the sketch from the wonderfully talented Teneale Williams.

GDP034 sketchI had some Pacific Point ink left over in a paint palette, so that kind of made the decision for me on colour lol! I started by stamping the sentiment from Thankful Thoughts in Versamark onto watercolour paper and then heat embossed it using white embossing powder.

I then sprayed the area around the sentiment with water and dropped in the Pacific Point ink. I also splatted some clear Wink of Stella around once the ink was dry and finished off with a few flowers from the Botanical Builders Framelits Dies set, which I think set it off perfectly! Hope you like it!

Head on over to the Global Design Project Challenge and take a look at all the fabulous design team inspiration cards and the fabulous entries from around the world!

Botanical Builders Framelits aren’t retiring either!

Sketch card for Create with Connie & Mary #CCMC403

I’m back with a lovely card (ok so I’m biased lol!) that I made for the Create with Connie and Mary Sketch challenge using Botanical Builders Framelits to create that beautiful, colourful flower. I am sooooo happy to say the framelits are not retiring when the current Spring/Summer catalogue retires. They are carrying over to the new annual catalogue in June – woohoo! Well best get on with the show – here’s the sketch my card is based on.

As usual my card is a CAS card, but I’m happy with the way it turned out!

I used Softly Falling embossing folder to create a patterned background and to break up the white a little and soften the overall look of the card. I used the retiring Fun Frames embossing folder to emboss a piece of the Neutrals Designer Series Paper stack and then cut it out. I stuck a square of Whisper White stamped with the sentiment from Another Thank You (retired and unfortunately now sold out in Europe) and a small flower from Botanical Blooms, which is also carrying over to the new catalogue.

I love the pink and yellow with black and white for the colour scheme – don’t you?

Thanks for stopping by, make sure you pop by the Connie and Mary Challenge Blog to check out the rest of the design team’s gorgeous projects!

Also make sure you check out the retiring list (link in side bar). Some items are already sold out. Once they are gone they are gone!

Botanical Builder Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up! – Make & Take from Team Training

As promised, I’m back today with a project that we made in team training on Sunday using Botanical Builder Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up! The project was designed by my Stampin’ Up! Team Leader, Michelle Last, and it’s absolutely stunning. I love it!

Isn’t it lovely? The background stamping has been done using Timeless Textures. There were four projects to make in total, but I was too busy catching up with friends to finish them all. Hopefully I’ll get the chance over the weekend to finish them off!

I love getting together with other demonstrators – it’s one of my favourite things about being a demonstrator, the friends I’ve made since joining is such a fantastic perk. Everyone is so sharing and I usually come away from these events with lots of ideas for my classes and blog.

This card was a make and take from OnStage Live in Brussels in November, which I thought I would finally put together! It’s only taken 3 months lol!

As well as the face-to-face-occasions for get togethers, meeting up in the virtual world is so easy in today’s technology and I love that I can interact with people in different countries both in Europe and often over the other side of the world to me.

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, and you are interested in signing up as a Demonstrator, I would love to welcome you to my growing team!

You can become a demonstrator for just 129 €/£99 and choose a whopping 220 € / £160 worth of product for your Starter Kit. Plus, the kit ships for free!
