Hey Chick & Large Letters by Stampin’ Up!

Hey Chick & Large Letters by Stampin’ Up! – Easter Dream Theme Blog Hop

Welcome to the Dream Theme Blog Hop. It’s a monthly blog hop featuring some amazing Stampin’ Up!® Independent Demonstrators from around the world. Currently you’re visiting me, Tracy May from London, UK. To continue along the blog hop, please use the links below.

The theme for today’s projects is Easter! I had actually thought it was Mother’s Day for this month’s theme as it will be Mother’s Day in the UK in a couple of weeks. Well I’m glad I checked before I had finished my card as I had actually started making a Mother’s Day card but switched to my quick Easter card below!

I do love those chickens!! I used Hey Chick & Large Letters by Stampin’ Up! The card base is larger than usual for me, measuring in at 10cm x 21cm.

Thank you for stopping by to see my Easter card idea. I hope you’ve found it inspiring. Please do hop along to see what my lovely and fabulously talented friend Amy has made and keep hopping around the wonderful creations from the rest of the Dream Theme Design team!

A Jittery Chicken for the Spring Jitters Blog Hop

Spring Jitters / Lentekriebels Blog Hop

Thank you for joining me today, for a very exciting blog post for me. Today, I am delighted to say I am hopping along with the lovely Creatieve Harten team of the lovely Caroline van der Straaten, who are all fellow Pinkies!

When I heard the title of the blog hop was Spring Jitters, I instantly thought of Hey Chick by Stampin’ Up! Perhaps you will see why from my card!

Hey Chick by Stamping' Up! Jittery Chicken Tracy May

Don’t you just think that chicken looks jittery? I do! It always brings a smile to my face when I see it!

For my background I used the Hardwood stamp set. I watercolored and cut out the chicken and added it directly to the top of the stamping. The Old Olive “grass” is attached to the back of the card front which has been raised up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

So what do you think? I do hope you like it! I certainly had some fun making the card anyway 😊!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Please do keep hopping along with our blog hop by clicking on the Next button below. The lovely and talented Sandra is next

Hey, Chick by Stampin’ Up!

Hey, Chick by Stampin’ Up! #CCMC435

Spolier Alert! Look away now if you don’t want to see a brand new fabulous and fun stamp set! Hey, Chick by Stampin’ Up! is one of next year’s Sale-a-bration free stamps. I’ve used it for this week’s fabulous sketches. Yes, it’s time for another Create with Connie & Mary challenge!

I saw this set at the OnStage Local event in Telford, UK back at the beginning of November and had to have it with my pre-order from the new catalogue. I just had to use it for this sketch. I’ll also be sharing some more new product (available in January) over the course of the next few Create with Connie & Mary Challenges too.

Hey, Chick by Stampin' Up! Tracy May #CCMC435

I teamed the chick up with the new Stitched Shapes Framelits, which have been so popular they sold out of the first batch very quickly. Don’t worry more are on the way and are due in the warehouse in Germany sometime next week!

I thought the Soft Sky card front looked a little plain after I stuck on the squares I cut out using the Stitched Shapes framelits so I got the sewing machine out and stitched the card front on to the card base. Don’t look too closely at the bottom right – I went a little askew with my sewing! LoL!

Well I do hope you’ve enjoyed my little sneak peek. Please do pop over and see what the fabulously talented team have come up with for you this week over at Create with Connie & Mary!
