Mosaic Madness bowing out in the Stampin’ Up! Retiring list

Stampin’ Up! Retiring List – Mosaic Madness is going. Check out the list soon as items are flying off the shelf!

It was a shaky start yesterday, to the Stampin’ Up! Retiring list, with all websites experiencing technical issues, but, at the time of writing these issues have now been resolved. I never cease to be amazed by how quickly items sell out though. I know that despite the technical issues some products are already gone. So don’t delay if there is something particular you would like, I would hate you to miss out.

One of my favourites from the Stampin’ Up! Retiring List is Mosaic Madness. I had a feeling it was going though, as you don’t tend to see it used too often these days. I used it a lot when it first came out, but until last week, hadn’t used it for an age.

Stampin' Up! - Mosaic Madness - Watercolour Card - Bedlam & Butterflies

I created a watercolour background using So Saffron, and stamped over it, whilst it was still damp. I also washed over the “for you” sentiment from the Mini Treat Bags Thinlits™ Dies with So Saffron and then stamped and punched out the shapes using the Mosaic punch (also retiring).

I hope you like today’s project. As I mentioned earlier the retiring items seem to be flying off the shelf, so don’t delay. Also whilst you’re there, check out the Weekly deals.

Weekly Deals & a touch of Stampin’ Up! Mosaic Madness

Well hello Mosaic Madness,  I’m soooo sorry I have neglected you for so long. When this stamp set first came out last year I loved it. I made loads of cards with it and then for some reason I seem to have forgotten about it until the other night.

I was digging through my basket of unfinished bits and pieces and came across some of the watercolour backgrounds I had been playing around with for my photo tutorial using embossing folders – click here to see it. I had completely forgotten about them. So out they came and as one of them had the mosaic embossing folder pattern, I thought I would dig out the Mosaic Madness stamp set. I hope you like the results.

For this project I used:
Stamp set: Mosaic Madness wood or clear, Bitty Banners wood or clear
Card Stock: Watercolour paper, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Ink pads: Bermuda Bay, Tangerine Tango, Smoky Slate
Tools: Bitty Banners Framelits, Modern Mosaic TIEF (textured impressions embossing folder)
Embellishment: Linen Thread, Basic Rhinestone Jewels

If you are looking at the Retiring list, (link on my sidebar to the right), don’t be confused by the Mosaic Madness Bundle retiring (available in wood or clear until the end of June whilst stocks last). Both the stamp set and the punch are being carried over into the new catalogue but you will not be able to buy them together for a discount as you can now.

And if you are shopping today don’t forget about the weekly deals, which I am delighted to say has been extended indefinitely woohoo!

Sneak Peak Slider Card

I’ve recently started holding monthly classes, which I love. It’s a chance for me to share all the tips and techniques I’ve picked up over the last 18 months, since I first stumbled into the world of card making and papercrafting.

I have a few regular attendees (hi ladies) and we have a great time, chatting, putting the world to rights and of course making lovely items to take home.

If you would like to join me my next class is next week on Thursday 25th July. If you would like to know more then either check out the Classes tab at the top of the blog for details or simply give me a call and I’ll happily talk you through them. I would love to see you at the class.

Here’s a sneak peak of one of the projects we will be making.

I will post details and a full list of products used next week after the class.

If you are in the UK, I hope you’re enjoying the heatwave. I certainly am but I think it’s getting to my two year old a bit. He’s fallen asleep standing up in his buggy (only way he will travel these days!) and has been having mini temper tantrums. Today he just suddenly shouted “I – DON’T – LIKE – PINEAPPLES!” No idea why – there was not a pineapple in sight!

If you would like to order any products from Stampin’ Up! just let me know and I will be happy to help. Just email me or call me on 07788746908.
