Christmas Tags – Bags, Tags & Boxes Week

Christmas Tags – Bags, Tags & Boxes Week

It’s Bags, Tags & Boxes Week on Bedlam & Butterflies! There won’t be any Christmas cards this week. I figured most people who are making their own Christmas cards will be done by now – or at least know what they are going to make, so I thought I would try to inspire other types of Christmas crafting. I will be making Christmassy bags, tags and boxes for you this week. I’m kicking off with some Christmas tags.

I’ve got three sets of Christmas tags to show you traditional colours with a modern design, contemporary colours and a more traditional design Kraft tags.

I’m also entering the first set of tags into the Global Design Project Color Combination challenge #GDP013 which is Real Red, Crumb Cake and Old Olive. I’ve teamed these colours up with Gorgeous Grunge and Festival of Trees for a modern look.

I made a trio of the same Christmas Tags. I’ve recently re-inked my Old Olive and it’s stamping very dark, plus the photo doesn’t really show the green up well I think because the light is bad today, but trust me that  Christmas Tree is Old Olive! Also I used Gold Glitter to add a bit of sparkle!

I also decided to try out some Christmassy blues but with a twist of orange for a contemporary colour scheme to compliment the modern design. What do you think?

I added Silver Glitter for some sparkle on these.

I love the mottled look of the second generation stamping of the Christmas Tree on this tag.

And now for some more traditional looking Christmas Tags I made using Kraft card stock and scraps of Designer Series Paper. These are so simple to make. All you need is a punch and a sentiment stamp.

Jingle All the Way from Stampin’ Up!

Clean and simple Christmas card using Jingle All the Way from Stampin’ Up!

Hi, just thought I’d pop back with a super quick post tonight – probably already tomorrow by the time you’re reading this. I made this card using the sketch a couple of weeks ago from Less is More. I didn’t enter the card to the challenge as I entered this one instead, but as I liked this one too, I thought I’d share it with you now. I used Jingle All the Way from Stampin’ Up! for the sentiment.

It’s a really quick and easy card – maybe that’s why I didn’t enter it in to the challenge as it was toooooo easy and no challenge at all! Ha ha!

What do you think? Don’t you just love the red glitter paper? Got to dash – I have an early train to catch! I’ll let you know what the OnStage Live event is like next week! Have fun 🙂
