Envelope Punch Board Class Projects – using Stampin’ Up! ® products

Well I gave you a sneak peek, at the beginning of the week, of one of the projects we were going to be making last night at my Envelope punch board class. We made two projects with the board – a decorated gift box and a Christmas Cracker.

Here’s the Gift Box in it’s full glory.

I had seen a tutorial on Pinterest ages ago, that just made it so simple. Once you’ve learned how to make one you can just play around with measurements to make all sorts of sizes! You’ll find the Pin on Pinterest here.  I added my own touches with the decoration and I love the rosette on the top of the box. It’s dual purpose – decorative, as well as functional, as it fastens the box shut with a velcro dot.

For this project you will need:
Cardstock/DSP – Island Indigo textured 12 x 12 132132, Winter Frost Speciality DSP 132341, Coastal Cabana 131302
Stamps – Very Merry Tags (W) 130393, © 130402
Ink – Metallic Encore Pad Silver 132142
Punch – Mosaic 131267
The ladies in the class loved the envelope punch board too, even though we didn’t actually make an envelope with it!
Finally we made a Christmas card (although not using the board).
For this project you will need:
Card Stock – Whisper White (106549), Coastal Cabana 131302
Stamps – Christmas Star, Simply Stars (W) 130389 (C) 130893
Inks – Versamark 102283, Coastal Cabana 131175
Tools – Paper Piercing Tool 126189, Stampin’ Pierce Mat 126199, Paper Piercing Pack Essentials 126187, Heat tool (UK) 129054 (EU) 129055, White embossing powder 109132
Embellishments – Basic Rhinestones 119246
The feedback from the class on the projects was great. So if you are local to Pinner and fancy a creative evening once a month in a relaxed and friendly environment, then we would love for you to join us. Click here for more details.

We’ve all gone Batty! using Stampin’ Up! ® products

I don’t usually celebrate Hallowe’en but I thought this year, as Regan is a little bit older, it might be nice to do something with the boys and had planned to make some Hallowe’en themed gifts.

As it is half term next week, we also have some playdates lined up and I thought it would be nice to give some Hallowe’en gifts. I found “fangs” in the sweetie aisle of the local supermarket and that lead to the idea to make vampire themed gift packaging …. and so Batty was born. He’s such a cutie even if I do say so myself!

He was super easy to make – just a little box from Basic Black Card stock with an oval cut out for his mouth. I cut out an oval in Whisper White and drew the fangs freehand, before cutting out with my paper snips. I made his ears out of ovals of Basic Black, scored down the middle and folded over at the ends to make them look a bit raggedy. For his wings I shaped a strip of basic black card stock with a variety of circle punches and the paper snips. I also scored folds into the wings with the stylus from the Simply Scored Scoring tool.

His eyes are made from circles of Daffodil Delight, sponged on the bottom with Tangerine Tango and finished off with pupils of Basic Black.

And here’s the little fellow with the bag of  fangs sweets inside.

Well I had better get busy making him some buddies for next week.
Products used:
Basic Black card stock ( 121688), Whisper White card stock (106549), Daffodil Delight Card Stock (121680), Extra Large Oval punch (119859), 1″ Circle punch (119868), Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin’ pad (126946)

Partying and Scrappin’ using Stampin’ Up! ® products

Oh I’ve been super busy lately. I had a great party last week with a group of avid scrapbookers. It’s the first scrapbooking party I have done, and I decided to go with a Christmas layout I had seen on Pinterest ages ago and been meaning to try out. I’m all for following the two birds with one stone motto!

The ladies all enjoyed themselves, I’m pleased to report and loved using the Stampin’ Up! products. Since then I have been madly getting ready for my Christmas Card class on Thursday night, in between a weekend of birthday parties and looking after one poorly little boy. Its true you should be careful what you wish for – next time I’m wishing for a little peace and quiet when the Bedlam Brothers are at full pelt, I will try to remember how horrible it feels when they are lying poorly on the sofa not tearing around.

Anyway, back to my scrapbook page. I have some lovely pictures from Christmas 2011 and I wanted to showcase Stampin’ Up!’s 12 x 12 cardstock and DSP.  I chose to use the Winter Frost Speciality DSP with the Island Indigo and Smoky Slate textured cardstock. I love it – I really need to get scrapping more.

Products Used:
Textured 12″ x 12″ Cardstock – Island Indigo 132132, Smoky Slate 132131
Winter Frost Speciality DSP 132341
Pool Party A4 Cardstock 124391
Classic Stampin’ Pad – Pool Party 126982, Island Indigo 126986
Stamps – Morning Post Numbers Clear 131841, Very Merry Tags Wood 130393, Clear 130402, Mixed Bunch Wood 128442,  Clear 125537

If you would like to order any of the products used you can order directly online (SHOP NOW) or you can still order via email or by phone.

And don’t forget there’s still time to join in all the fun either as a demonstrator….

……or as a hostess!

New Recruiting Offer

It’s another fantastic offer from Stampin’ Up! as part of their 25th Anniversary celebration. Join in the fun and become a demo for only £25!

I love being a Stampin’ Up! demo. I do parties, run classes, make lovely things. I am part of fantastic group of crafters and we share – we share experiences, knowledge, projects and much more.  Recently one of my fellow Pinkies posted a picture on our Facebook page of a beautiful swap she had received at an SU event from Jenni Pauli, a German demo. I really like Jenni’s style and decided I would case the swap she made as it was so pretty.  (Click here to see Jenni’s original)

I decided to do notebook cover though instead.

I changed a few bits and pieces on the embellishment and used a different colour scheme too. I liked it so much I made another one and also made a sticky note holder too.

 Then I made some more….

So guess what?  I’m going to give them away ……to you, as a gift when you join my team! So between the 7th and 21st October not only do you get to join Stampin’ Up! for £25 you can also get this fantastic gift from me. It includes the notebook and sticky note, plus a Stampin’ Up! shopping bag (these are very sought after trust me!) and a swatch card with all the current colours of card stock on it.

So go on what are you waiting for – give me a call (07788746908).

Gorgeous and Pretty Grunge using Stampin’ Up! ® products

I’ve been feeling indecisive the last couple of weeks. It may be that we are all feeling a bit unsettled at home at the moment, with starting school and a new playgroup – oh and some teething thrown in to keep us all awake at night too!!

Anyway I wanted to share the projects we made last Thursday in class. As I said, I have been a bit indecisive lately and this reflected itself in trying to choose the colour scheme for my designs. I love girly, feminine designs but its not something that I normally tend to make myself. I seem to end up at the clean and simple end of the craft theme spectrum, but I really wanted to use some ribbon and come up with a pretty look. I tried out to colour schemes and I really like both. I wasn’t sure which one the ladies would prefer so in the end I decided to let them chose which one they wanted to make. Both schemes were chosen and one lady even decided to mix it up a little and do combine the two.

My first colour scheme was Soft Suede and Blushing Bride. I used Blushing Bride Core’dinations Card Stock for the tag, which I sanded prior to stampin with Soft Suede ink. The background is Gorgeous Grunge stamped in Whisper White Craft ink. I think the Chevron ribbon is the perfect ribbon for this tag!

I then tried out Crumb Cake and Marina Mist. This time I heat embossed the image on the Core’dinations tag. The background is Gorgeous Grunge stamped in Crumb Cake. I also stamped the poppy from Simply Sketched on the card, first in crumb cake and then I overstamped with Versamark and heat embossed in white. I removed some of the versamark from the stamp before stamping to get a broken image to show some of the crumb cake ink below.

I have a confession! There was originally a celophane bag in the Marina Mist one with some chocoloate in. They didn’t last long enough to make it into the photo! Ooops.
We also made another card with some DSP but I seem to have neglected to take any photos of those. I will have to get them out and take some pictures in the morning when the light is better.
For now though, if you would like to make these projects you can buy all the products used in my Online store here (Click the Shop button top right once you’re on my Stampin’ Up! site). The Simply Sketched Stamp set is a Hostess only stamp set that can be redeemed with hostess rewards. Don’t forget to use my mystery hostess code if your order is under £150.
