Celebrate Wonderland from Stampin’ Up!

Clean and simple greetings card created with Wonderland from Stampin’ Up!

For some reason this morning, I have Boogie Wonderland going round and round my head and I couldn’t remember who sang it! I’ve just looked it up and it’s by Earth, Wind and Fire in case you’re interested. It’s obviously linked to today’s card, but the previous times I have used this set it’s been the Christmas song (Welcome to a) Winter Wonderland that has sprung to mind. Anyway I am bopping along with Boogie Wonderland playing as I type! Ha ha ha 🙂

Today’s project was created at a scrapbooking crop, that I had helped a friend organise at the end of September. I completed a few Project Life pages in the morning, but I was struggling with the photos I had printed out. I wanted to use photos on every page that I hadn’t actually printed, but thought would look better on the page than the ones I had printed! Lesson learnt – just print loads more out than you think you will need! And also check when ordering online that the photos haven’t automatically cropped and cut people’s heads off – this happened to a good 10 – 15% of mine! Grrr – you can tell I’m a novice scrapbooker but Project Life is so easy if you’re just a little bit organised! 🙂

I had brought along some card making items as a back up just in case, so I whiled away the afternoon making some Christmas cards. I was playing around with the Wonderland stamp set and my marker pens and came up with this clean and simple card. The sentiment is from Expressions Natural Elements wooden 3D greetings embellishments. I’ll send this card as a Christmas card, although I think it could be used for other occasions – a male birthday card maybe? What do you think?

Sneak Peek – Christmas Cuties from Stampin’ Up!

A sneak peek of the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue with Christmas Cuties from Stampin’ Up!

Morning peeps, how’s you today? It’s a grey misty day here – feels very autumnal! Boo – the summer holidays aren’t even over yet!!!

Anyways, I got my pre-order from the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue yesterday and just had to have a play. I asked my youngest son which character he liked best from Christmas Cuties from Stampin’ Up!. He chose this little elf for me to make a card from.

I coloured him with my alcohol markers. Isn’t he cute? These items will be available to order from September 1st. If you don’t already have a demonstrator and you are in Europe (UK, Netherlands, France, Germany or Austria), I’d be happy to send you a catalogue, just drop me a line! 🙂

Altered Talented Trio from Stampin’ Up!

Cute birthday card created by altering Talented Trio from Stampin’ Up!

Morning peeps, how’s you? I am back today with a card I made a while ago using Talented Trio from Stampin’ Up!. If you saw my post from last week of the set of three note cards I made my niece, you will know that the little artist in the set reminds me of her. Given that she is a keen ballerina herself I decided to create a card for her birthday by stamping the head from the artist onto the ballerina – with photopolymer stamps this was super easy!

I stamped her onto crumb cake with crumb cake ink and then coloured her in with pencils. I then stamped the face and hair with black ink. What do you think?

I love it and I’m sure she will do too. I coloured the white perfect accents with alcohol markers.

Well I hope you like today’s project. I’ve listed the items used below. Thanks for stopping by – see you soon x

Watercolor Wings from Stampin’ Up!

Clean & Simple Thank you card using Watercolor Wings from Stampin’ Up!

Hey there, I’m back today with a card I came up with by playing around with Watercolor Wings from Stampin’ Up!. This was one of the first stamp sets I saw when the annual catalogue first came out and it’s been hugely popular. All the ideas I had, to showcase the set, seemed to be covered immediately by other demonstrators around the world.  I kind of parked using it waiting for inspiration to hit.

I had the chance yesterday to have a little play and was messing around with various watercolour methods, markers, reinkers, ink pads and I came up with this card. Personally I love it (well I would wouldn’t I? 🙂 ).

Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator Tracy May Watercolor Wings CAS cardAfter I stamped the Butterfly base onto watercolour paper I simply took an aquapainter and pulled the ink from the bottom of the wings and let it run down the paper. I added more ink from the lid of the ink pad to make the colour more vibrant and then splattered ink across the paper.

Once it was dry I overstamped the butterfly with the detailed stamp in Versamark and heat embossed using Iridescent Ice embossing powder to give it a sparkle.

I finished by stamping the sentiment from the Watercolor Wishes Card kit and adding some Real Red sequins.

What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a fantasstic weekend.

Talented Trio from Stampin’ Up!

A trio of notecards created using Talented Trio from Stampin’ Up!

Good morning folks, and how are you today? If you have kids are you surviving the school holidays? And even if you don’t are you surviving them? 🙂

This morning I have a simple little set of notecards to share with you, that I made for my niece. I’m looking after her and her brother this week, so we have a house full.

I love the Talented Trio from Stampin’ Up! for all the colouring possibilities. You can watercolour with it, colour with pencils or markers, use ink and a blender pen too….

I used colour pencils for this set and kept the cards very CAS – clean and simple.

Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator Tracy May Talented TrioI think this one is my favourite, as she reminds me of my niece. Even my youngest son thinks so too.

I used the Washi tape punch to create the banner for the sentiment. I must admit I was a little skeptical when I first saw the punch but I bought it anyway! And guess what? I love it!!! Totally hooked now!

Anyways, I’ve got to dash. Got 4 kids to entertain! Hope you liked today’s projects. Thanks for stopping by. Check out this week’s weekly deals before you go.

Rainbow Flower Shop from Stampin’ Up!

A brightly coloured rainbow of flowers using Flower Shop from Stampin’ Up!

Morning peeps, how’s you? I’m back today with a very quick post, although I keep having to break in writing it, to chivvy the boys along on tidying up their playroom, so it’s not that quick really. Seriously I could have tidied the playroom ten times myself by now, but I’m trying to teach them not to pull every single toy out and just dump it on the floor. I think I may be fighting a losing battle!

I got out my old alcohol markers the other day and sorted them out. I thought one of the flowers from  Flower Shop from Stampin’ Up! would be perfect to practice with. I stamped on two sticky notes to create masks so I could overlap the flowers.  I love the bold, bright colours don’t you? I decided on the colour scheme from the children’s rainbow song – red and yellow and pink and green….

Paper pieced Lion using Zoo Babies from Stampin’ Up!

Paper pieced Lion birthday card using Zoo Babies from Stampin’ Up!

Morning peeps, how’s things today? I’m shattered to be honest. Mind you it’s my own fault. I can’t seem to get myself in to bed early. I get side tracked doing things. Last night it was experimenting with watercolouring and alcohol markers to acheive a certain look I wanted. The night before it was restoring my phone to it’s factory settings and then setting it all up again! I’m looking forward to the school holidays to take it a bit easier in the mornings. My usual mornings are just like this! Lol!

This morning’s project is a birthday card I made for a little girl turning one. I was in a hurry to get it in the post and so the photos are not that great – sorry. I used the Zoo Babies stamp from Stampin’ Up!. It’s my go to stamp set for cards for very small children and babies.

I stamped the lion three times in different colours and then cut out the mane and the face separately to piece togather for a 3d effect. I think I’m going through a Subtles phase at the moment. I’ve been playing around with watercolouring using the Subtles colour family too. I’ll share those with you next week.

Well I hope you liked today’s project. Thanks for stopping by. Before you go, why don’t you check out the weekly deals?

Stampin’ Up! Handmade Gift and Card

Handmade gift and card using Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper, Inks and Stamps!

Good morning peeps, another scorcher here in London today. A complete contrast to yesterday with the rain – very typical that it happened to be on the day my youngest and I bunked off and spent the day at Legoland with our friends. The two boys were dizzy with excitement  and a little hard to keep from running riot and rampaging through the park! They had a great day though. We won’t be going in the summer holidays though as my son does not do queues – oh no not in the slightest!

Anyways, on to today’s project. I love, love, love how this turned out. Don’t look too closely as it’s not perfect as this was the first time I’ve done this. It is a handmade gift, for my friend’s little girl, for her birthday this week.

I bought some cardboard letters from a local craft shop and covered them with the Subtles DSP stack. At first I was going to alternate Spotty then Stripey patterns only in Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette but decided I would mix the spots and stripes on each letter and also use other colours. I am really pleased with how it turned out.

So now all my friends know what to expect as gifts for their children’s next birthdays or Christmas (whichever is first)! Sorry folks! x

For the card I decided to CASE the catalogue, as I liked this card so much. I substituted some elements for what I had available, but it’s very close to the original.

You’ve Got This – Magic Slider Card

Magic slider card created using Stampin’ Up! You’ve Got This

Morning, morning, morning – hope you all had a fabby weekend! Another busy one for us. No crafting AGAIN!! But I did have a fabulous long lunch out with my bessie mates (UK for BFF I think). My crafty to do list for the week is long and growing! Mind you so is the housework list – wonder which one I’ll concentrate on?? Hmmmm hard choice – NOT! Lol!

Today’s project is one I made for a card swap challenge that I’m part of via Facebook. The theme for this challenge was a magic slider card. I decided on the new You’ve Got This stamp set from Stampin’ Up! (available in wood or clear). It’s a lovely set and I’ve seen some beautiful cards on Pinterest using it. Hopefully you’ll like mine. There’s a few photos as it’s hard to capture in one photo!

Not quite sure what the reflection is on the one above – looks almost like an alien face to me!

I watercoloured the background card and flicked ink splats over the watercolour paper whilst it was still wet. It’s one of my favourite techniques.

Well I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks for stopping by.

Don’t forget it’s your last chance to earn free stamp sets if you sign up as a demonstrator. The offer ends tomorrow June 30th.
