Altered Talented Trio from Stampin’ Up!

Cute birthday card created by altering Talented Trio from Stampin’ Up!

Morning peeps, how’s you? I am back today with a card I made a while ago using Talented Trio from Stampin’ Up!. If you saw my post from last week of the set of three note cards I made my niece, you will know that the little artist in the set reminds me of her. Given that she is a keen ballerina herself I decided to create a card for her birthday by stamping the head from the artist onto the ballerina – with photopolymer stamps this was super easy!

I stamped her onto crumb cake with crumb cake ink and then coloured her in with pencils. I then stamped the face and hair with black ink. What do you think?

I love it and I’m sure she will do too. I coloured the white perfect accents with alcohol markers.

Well I hope you like today’s project. I’ve listed the items used below. Thanks for stopping by – see you soon x

Adult colouring using Stampin’ Up! Remarkable You

Adult colouring using Stampin’ Up! Remarkable You. Create a beautiful set of Thank You cards coloured with colour pencils – colouring in is not just for kids!

Good morning peeps, how’s you today? It’s a bit dull and dreary here but I have some lovely bright flowers to share with you this morning! I’m stupidly excited about these. You’ll have to fogive me, but my inner child was released with a vengeance when I saw this video by Lydia Fiedler on her Understand Blue blog! Serioiusly I did not know that you could colour on black paper or card stock with colour pencils! How did I not know that? I had some colour pencils, which I’d bought on a whim at Hobbycraft and I gave it a go – they worked fairly well but were too waxy for my liking and have been relegated to a practice set to use with my Adult Colouring books (when I get the time!).

So I ummhed and ahhhed for a day or two before diving in and buying a set of the pencils Lydia used in her video. (I also bought another set of a different brand, after watching a couple of reviews, and I love them both – luckily!).

Anyway here’s my cards. I started off with the Magnolia flower from the Remarkable You set, trying to achieve a realistic colour for the flower – hmmmm not sure I managed it too well.

Told you I got slightly carried away didn’t I? Lol

Thanks for indulging me and I hope I’ve inspired your inner child. Get colouring peeps! Adult colouring is very relaxing and it’s cheaper than than therapy! Ha ha
