Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies from Stampin’ Up! – A Thank You Gift

Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies from Stampin’ Up!  – A Thank You Gift

It seems like such a long time ago, that I held a kit card class on a Saturday morning, but it was only about a month ago in reality. There were only a few of us but we had a great time chatting and crafting. I made the ladies a thank you gift for taking the class.

I love the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies from Stampin’ Up! It’s a keeper that’s for sure. I’ve been using it a lot, as you may have noticed, if you follow my blog. I’ve not even gotten around to any of the Christmas project ideas I have for it yet either! Watch this space! 🙂

Would you believe it’s the first time I’ve used the Corrugated Paper, even though it was on my first order in July when the annual catalogue went live? Oh and the Cotton Paper I used to make the flower, I bought on the preorder in June! Thinking about it, there’s a few other bits and bobs I have bought but never used. Do you do that? I don’t think I’m the only one who does that… am I? Noooo surely not! 🙂

I love the pop of colour the flower brings to the project!

If you would like any of the products used and are happy to shop with me, simply click on the table below and you will be taken to my online shop. Thanks for your support! 🙂

p.s. I filled the box with Lindt Chocolates – yum yum! They were very much appreciated by the ladies!

Project Life meets Stampin’ Up! Perpetual Birthday Calendar

Project Life Birthday Book created using Stampin’ Up! Perpetual Birthday Calendar

Morning peeps! Well I’ve survived the first couple of days of the school holidays, but there’s a long way to go yet lol!

A while back my friend asked me to make her a birthday wall hanging like this one I made for myself last year, but then changed her mind as she has no where to hang it. She says she’s always forgetting birthdays and wanted something to be able to write them down on but wasn’t sure what would work. As it was her birthday this week I came up with a solution for her as my birthday gift.

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Tracy May Project Life Perpetual Birthday Calendar Birthday Book

I took a Stampin’ Up! Project Life 6″x8″ album and page dividers and using the Stampin’ Up! Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set, created a set of cards (one for each month) on which she can write down the date and name of people with birthdays in that month.

The pockets in the page dividers are double sided. I think my favourite month card is April.

I also included a couple of envelope pages with some cards and envelopes in to get her started. There’s one for adult cards and one for kids cards.

She loved it!

CAS (clean and simple) Butterfly card

Chaotic CAS (clean and simple) card created using Stampin’ Up! supplies.

I know chaotic and CAS (clean and simple) don’t usually appear in the same sentence but that’s what springs to mind when I look at this card. I made it for a friend’s birthday back at the end of November when I was in the midst of chaos with a building project to extend my home, yearning for peace and quiet and a clean house (not possible when you’ve got the builders in).

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May card making ideas

I haven’t posted a Butterfly card for a while so when I came across this in my pictures earlier I thought I would share it today, hence the .

I used a mixture of stamps (Gorgeous Grunge, Kinda Eclectic and Says It All), threw in some DSP (Confetti Celebration) and some Linen thread as well. Despite the one little area of the card being kind of chaotic it still has lots of white space and makes for a CAS card – clean and simple!

I made a star shaped box to match that housed one of the star shaped candles I’ve shown previoulsy in this post which includes a free tutorial for how to make the star shaped box.

My Stampin’ Up! Easter Egg Hunt Berry Basket

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015 Top 10 – No. 9 Berry Basket Bigz™ – Easter Egg Hunt Basket

Good morning, and how are you today? It’s starting to feel a lot like spring is on it’s way in my neck of the woods. It’s certainly a bit easier to get up in the mornings now they are a bit lighter anyway.

Today’s project is the 9th in my series of Top 10 favourites from the Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015. At first I resisted buying the Berry Basket Bigz™ L Die , but then I was flicking through the calendar to see what was coming up in the first few months of the year when Easter popped up, and well you can probably guess what jumped into my online shopping basket after that!

If the weather is nice this year, I’ll organise a little Easter egg hunt in the back garden. We’ve got lots of places to hide them and the boys will love it. We’ve been to organised hunts before but I’ve not really enjoyed them that much for some reason.

I’ve made the Bedlam Brothers these little baskets to collect the eggs in. They both love the Cheerful Critters photopolymer stamp set so it was an easy design to come up with. I love that the Critters are “hiding” in the grass (made with the Fringe scissors). They are the same design to avoid any fighting over who has which one: which is a frequent battle in this household. They fight over which colour bowl, plate, cup etc etc they are going to have and yes, they always both want the same one!

I got the idea for using the Alphabet Rotary Stamp for the boys’ names, from a team mate Jenny. She posted about it on my upline’s team facebook page. This stamp had bypassed my radar for some reason. I don’t know why, as it’s a really useful addition to the stash.

Do you like my little Easter Egg? I covered the bunny’s face before inking the stamp and then cut the arms and ears off.

I also used designed a more grown up Berry Basket for my class ladies, for February’s class. It’s so pretty and can be used for gifts for any occassion, not just Easter.

I teamed it up with the Painted Petals stamp set, which is available in wood, clear and photopolymer. It’s a really pretty watercolour effect stamp set. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, available in wood or clear.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s projects. Thanks for stopping by!

Don’t forget there’s still a few weeks Sale-a-bration left.

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015 Top 10

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015 Top 10 – No. 8 Hello You Thinlits Dies

Good morning peeps, hope you all had a fine and dandy weekend. I’m kicking off the start to the week with Number 8. from my own personal top 10 favourites from the new Stampin’ Up! ® Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue – the Hello You Thinlits Dies.

These were on my wish list as soon as I saw a sneak peek of them from the US Founders Circle get together in the autumn (or Fall, for those of you visiting from across the pond).

I teamed the sentiment up with Painted Petals Photopolymer stamp set. This set is also available in wood and clear if you prefer.

I tried to make a mask with the word “happy” but I didn’t stamp enough for it to work properly. I “saved” the card though by sticking layers of the word on top of each other. I think it’s a rather bright and well….happy card, don’t you?

Finally I made a little gift bag for the raffle prize for my class last week. Very cheery!

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s projects. There’s only two to go now from my Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015. If you don’t want to miss a post, then please do sign up to follow me by email!

Have a happy, crafty day.

Thanks for stopping by.

P.S. Don’t forget about Sale-a-bration, which runs until the end of March. There’s some fantastic free gifts to choose from.

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer Top 10 – No. 6 Mini Treat Bag Thinlits

Good morning everyone – I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already! Time is flying isn’t it? After a slight blip, I’m back with my Stampin’ Up! ® Spring/Summer Top 10. Today’s projects are using No. 6 in the list, the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies. I love this set. It’s going to be so versatile. I’ve already seen pins on Pinterest where other demonstrators have created gusseted (I think that’s the right term) sides, to make the little bags a bit roomier, so I’ll be checking those out properly soon and giving it a go too.

In the meantime here’s a few little treat bags I came up with. I hope you like them.

The Perpetual Birthday Calendar Photopolymer stamp set is ideal for decorating these little bags.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May gift ideas treat bag thinlits

I used the brown packing paper that comes in the boxes with Stampin’ Up! orders to make this bag. Needless to say, I have plently of the stuff around, so will be making more of these for sure.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May gift ideas treat bag thinlits

I kept this one empty so you could see the subtle stampin in Blushing Bride ink. The 1 1/4″ (3.2cm) White Jute Ribbon is becoming a firm favourite, considering I’m not usually that fussed with ribbon. Also the Butterflies Thinlits are kind of obligatory for me :-).

I couldn’t resist a Valentine’s version. As I said, it’s such a versatile set. All the shapes were cut using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer Top 10 – No. 3 Hooray It’s Your Day Card Kit

Hooray It’s Your Day! Good morning, I hope you all had a lovely weekend. It’s a bit of a grey day here but there’s lots of hustle and bustle as work continues on our extension. I’ve got some bright and cheery cards for you today, which are from the new Stampin’ Up! Hooray It’s Your Day Project Kit with it’s co-ordinating Hooray It’s Your Day Photopolymer stamp set. This kit is my No. 3 in my Top 10 from the new Spring/Summer catalogue 2015.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May cardmaking ideas project kits

Can you spot my not so deliberate mistake on the card below? With a clever save (even if I do say so myself lol) of a strip of washi tape!

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May cardmaking ideas project kits

I have to admit, I would have bought this kit just for the Sunburst mask that comes with it, but it’s packed with fantastic card bases, embellishments and coloured envelopes – enough to make 20 cards. I’ve been struggling with spritzing for some reason, so I sponged the ink over the masks. I will master the technique though (it’s on my todo list!).

For the above two cards, I used the co-ordinating Hooray It’s Your Day Photopolymer stamp set. However, there is nothing to say you can’t use what you have already. I used the Thanks stamp from the Hip Hip Hooray Simply Created Card Kit for the sentiment for this card.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May cardmaking ideas project kits

You also don’t have to follow the Stampin’ Up! card designs shown on the kit instructions. Go on be creative and come up with your own designs. I simply reversed the card blank for this card, but you can come up with so many other designs, which I will be doing later on once I’ve finished my Top 10!

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s projects. Don’t forget about the Sale-a-bration offer. Feel free to contact me for more details. If you’re interested in signing up I am more than happy to have a no obligation chat with you and would love to welcome you to my team.

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer Top 10 – No. 2 Perpetual Calendar

Hello, hello – it’s a lovely sunny day in my part of the world. Good job too as we’ve no central heating today, whilst the plumber switches over to the new system. It’s still a tad cold, with all the doors open too as the builders too and fro. The end is in sight though. Anyway, on to my No. 2 from my personal top 10 favourites from the new Stampin’ Up! ® Spring/Summer 2015 catalogue the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project Kit and co-ordinating Perpetual Birthday Calendar Photopolymer stamp set.

137950G

I had been planning on making my own updated perpetual birthday calendar and had been procrastinating over the format. Then I saw the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue – problem solved!

I have it hanging on my pin board for the time being. Once my new craft room is set up I’ll find it a more permanent home.

The kit is great value for money and comes with alphabet, hearts and stars stickers, as well as coloured and glitter banners, glitter and heart and star shapes and twine for decorating. There’s more than you need for the calendar so there’ll be plenty left over to decorate your cards or scrapbook pages afterwards.

I’ve only managed to complete the first few months of the year so far, because I got side tracked using the co-ordinating stamp set to decorate my unprinted journal/planner.

I also used the stamp set to decorate the bookmarks I’m sending out to customerswith copies of the new catalogue. I combined it with the new Butterfly Basics stamp set (available as a bundle with the Butterflies framelits in wood, clear and photopolymer).

My Top 10 Favourites from Stampin’ Up! Spring Summer Catalogue 2015

Happy New Year! A little late, I know, but this is my first post of 2015. We are still in the midst of our home extension project, but the end is at least in sight now. Operation Craft room set up will commence shortly. I’ll have somewhere of my own to play with all my lovely Stampin’ Up! ® stash and the dining room table will be free for eating at again. In the meantime, I’ve managed to organise some space in the tiny spare room to be productive and have a play with some new goodies.

If you don’t already have one, grab a cuppa and get settled. I’ve a fair bit to share with you today!

blogbutton_Sale-A-Bration

Most people get the January blues, after the Christmas and New Year holidays but Stampin’ Up! have just the thing to banish them – Sale-a-bration is here! For those of you new to Sale-a-bration it is probably THE best promotion of the year. For EVERY ÂŁ45 | 60 € spent you can chose one free gift, so if your order is worth ÂŁ90 | 120 € you can choose two and so on in increments of ÂŁ45 | 60 €. And that’s not all, there are hostess benefits to earn and freebies to choose if you sign up as a demonstrator too, more on that further down in this post.

occsions_uk

If that isn’t exciting enough news for you, then hopefully the launch of the new Spring/Summer Catalogue will be! It’s packed with luscious new products and some returning favourites from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue. Oh I wish I could have ordered it all! [Sigh]

I have managed to order a few (ahem more than a few really) things and have compiled my own personal Top 10 favourites.

  1.  Butterfly Thinlits Dies (available as a bundle with the Butterfly Basics stamp set available in wood, clear and photopolymer)
  2. Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project Kit and co-ordinating Perpetual Birthday Calendar Photopolymer stamp set
  3. Hooray It’s Your Day Project Kit and co-ordinating Hooray It’s Your Day Photopolymer stamp set
  4. Confetti Heart Border Punch
  5. Cheerful Critters Photopolymer stamp set
  6. Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies
  7. Chalk Board Paper and Ink Pads (Aquamarine, Rose Coral, Yellow Citrus)
  8. Hello You Thinlits Dies
  9. Berry Basket Bigz™ L Die
  10. Celebrate Today Photopolymer stamp set and Balloon Framelits Dies Bundle

I know there are actually more than 10 individual products in this list but I have combined products that co-ordinate such as the stamp sets with the kits and stamp sets with the dies as I will be creating examples using both.

I will post example projects using each of the above over the course of January. Today’s projects showcase my absolute favourite – the Butterflies Framelits.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Butterflies framelits card making ideas

This card also uses the Butterfly Basics stamp set, which unfortunately is barely  visible in the picture. I used Soft sky ink as I wanted a very subtle background stamped over the Typset DSP. A tad too subtle for my liking though.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Butterflies framelits gift ideas

I made this picture as a gift for a little girl in my youngest son’s nursery class. I love how it turned out. I like it even better than my previous butterfly frames. I can see myself making a lot of new inserts to replace those others I have made over the last 2 years!

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Butterflies framelits gift ideas

I decorated a mini peg with Blushing Bride polka dot DSP from theSubtles Background DSP Collection. This is actually the letter I from the Perfect Print Alphabet Bigz™. I don’t think I could have cut such a small sliver so straight otherwise.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my Top 10 and the projects I’ve made so far with my No. 1 favourite. I have so much more I want to make with these framelits, but it will have to wait until I have completed all my Top 10 projects. I will not be sidetracked – it’s my new mantra for the new year!

Be sure to check back in on Friday for the No. 2 , which is the Perpetual Birthday Calendar kit and stamps set.

I’ll leave you with some more information about Sale-a-bration. If you don’t already have a preferred demonstrator, live in the UK, Austria, France, Germany or the Netherlands and would like a copy of the Spring/Summer Catalogue (N.B. English version) then please drop me a line and I’ll pop one in the post for you.

Thanks for popping by, take care x
