Perpetual Birthday Calendar from Stampin’ Up!

Birthday card using the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Good morning peeps, I hope you are all well and had a fantastic weekend. It was yet another busy one for us, with the boys’ school’s summer fair on Saturday and then Father’s Day yesterday. To top all of that off, my youngest son decided to cut his own hair yesterday afternoon! He snuck upstairs and dragged a stool over to the very high chest of drawers in my bedroom, to snaffle the hair cutting scissors, that I keep in a pot up there. A few minutes later, he popped down to show me the result – two large bald patches and no fringe! I ended up having to shave his head with my husband’s clippers. He was very upset, but his big brother decided to have his done too, to keep him company. We couldn’t help but laugh as I think he’s learnt his lesson!

Anyway on to today’s card, that I made for a friend and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator’s birthday, using the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set.

I stamped onto a layer of velum and then attached that over the card base. I love this set. It co-ordinates with the Perpetual Birthday Calendar kit. You’d think I’d never miss a birthday now with one of these, but ahem……. mine is still showing March’s birthdays. Eek! I will get round to completing the kit soon. Note to self – get more organised!

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. Thanks for stopping by.

See you soon x

Painted Petals Card & Mini Treat Gift Bag

Congratulations Card and co-ordinating gift bag using Stampin’ Up! Painted Petals Stamp set and Mini Treat Bag Thinlits™ Dies.

Good morning everyone, how are you today? I’s a lovely start to the week, after a very chilly day yesterday, it’s promising to warm up considerably. And I have a lovely warm, spring-like project to share with you today.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May card making ideas

I stamped the sentiment from Sassy Salutations onto Kraft card stock using Versamark ink and then clear embossed it. I then stamped the shimmer white card stock with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive for the flowers from the Painted Petals stamp set ,before rolling the edges of the stamps in gold ink and stamping over the top. I love the photopolymer stamp sets as they make techniques like this so easy.

I made the little gift bag from the brown packing paper that comes in Stampin’ Up! orders, using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits™ Dies.

Hand-made DIY stamp and Stampin’ Up! Weekly Deals

Cute little bear card! Create your own hand-made DIY stamps using Stampin’ Up! Undefined Stamp Carving kit.

Good morning everyone. It’s a lovely sunny day here. We’re having a gentle start to the school Easter break so far. The boys have slept late (well late for them) every morning. I’ve had to be up to let the builders in. I can’t believe how much noise the builders have made without the boys waking up. I think all the learning they are doing at school has worn them out.

Anyways enough waffle about my little peeps. Here’s a card I made for another little person, who turned 3 at the weekend.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May undefined hand-made stamps

It’s a hand-made DIY stamp I carved last year. First I created a mask of the bear by stamping on a Post It note that is sticky all over and adhering it over the bear to protect him (I forgot to take a photo duh!). Then I made another mask of the circle (using the Circle framelits) from some scrap card stock and stuck it down using more sticky notes and sponged the circle in Pink Pirouette. I watercoloured the bear in Crumb Cake by taking ink off the inside of the ink pad lid with an Aquapainter. Then I highlighted him with the white gel pen once he was dry. So easy and so cute (well in my humble opinion anyway lol!).

I loved using the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit. I have been writing down ideas for more of them. So watch out I’ll be inflicting more of my little drawings on you at some point! Lol!

Now let’s see what lovely things are included in this week’s Weekly Deals!

Beautiful Home Decor Idea using Stampin’ Up! Designer Vellum

Beautiful home decor idea using Stampin’ Up ! Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum stack.

Good morning peeps, how’re you all doing today? I’m slowly getting back into a rythm of crafting and blogging (I think), now that my home extension project is wrapping up. We’ve still got the bathroom to do – it wasn’t in the original plans but when everything in it started failing we knew we just had to. I will spare you the rest of the house but I will share pictures of my new craft space. If you’re like me then you’ll love seeing how others organise their space.

One of the things I am doing is creating some decor items to brighten up a blank white wall in my room. I couldn’t resist the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum stack, as soon as I saw the butterflies sheet. I knew I wanted to do make something decorative with it and had some Ikea Ribba picture box frames stacked in the corner of my room and hey presto…..stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May Home Decor ideas

I used Basic Grey for the background card as this is the colour used in the vellum. I mounted the vellum onto Whisper White first so that it would stand out more. I finished with some Melon Mambo butterflies from the Butterfly Basics stamp set (available in wood, clear and photopolymer) and cut out the larger one with the Butterflies thinlits and the smaller ones with the Bitty Butterfly punch.

I’ve not managed to put the shelf up on the wall yet to display this picture and other home decor ideas using Stampin’ Up! products but I will share pictures as soon as I do!

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project. Don’t forget the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum is available as a Sale-a-bration gift available free with a £45 order until March 31st.

My Stampin’ Up! Top 10 – No 10 Celebrate Today

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015 Top 10 – No. 10 Celebrate Today Photopolymer Stamp set and Balloon Framelits Dies Bundle

Well hello again! Today is my final post in the series of my Stampin’ Up! Top 10 from the Spring/Summer (Occassions) Catalogue 2015.  Here’s a quick reminder of the Top 10 in question:

  1.  Butterfly Thinlits Dies (available as a bundle with the Butterfly Basics stamp set available in wood, clear and photopolymer)
  2. Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project Kit and co-ordinating Perpetual Birthday Calendar Photopolymer stamp set
  3. Hooray It’s Your Day Project Kit and co-ordinating Hooray It’s Your Day Photopolymer stamp set
  4. Confetti Heart Border Punch
  5. Cheerful Critters Photopolymer stamp set
  6. Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies
  7. Chalk Board Paper and Ink Pads (Aquamarine, Rose Coral, Yellow Citrus)
  8. Hello You Thinlits Dies
  9. Berry Basket BigzL Die
  10. Celebrate Today Photopolymer stamp set and Balloon Framelits Dies Bundle

It may have taken a little while to get here, but I’m finishing with a pop of colour!

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May card making ideas

I used the Balloon from the framelits set to watercolour vaguely in the shape of the balloon before stamping over the top with undiluted ink.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May card making ideas

I love the simplicity and warm oranges of this card. I created a mask from the negative of the balloon framelit and used it to sponge first with Daffodil Delight, then Tangerine Tango and then finally with Real Red.

I nearly lost the card front to my youngest son. He has a habit of picking up things from my desk that catch his eye and wandering off with them, some never to be seen again. I managed to retrieve it from him just as he was legging it out of the door! Little monkey lol!

I hope you like the bright colours. I think the Brights Collection has to be my favourite from all the colour ranges. Which one’s yours?

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to check out the weekly deals by the way.

My Stampin’ Up! Easter Egg Hunt Berry Basket

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015 Top 10 – No. 9 Berry Basket Bigz™ – Easter Egg Hunt Basket

Good morning, and how are you today? It’s starting to feel a lot like spring is on it’s way in my neck of the woods. It’s certainly a bit easier to get up in the mornings now they are a bit lighter anyway.

Today’s project is the 9th in my series of Top 10 favourites from the Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015. At first I resisted buying the Berry Basket Bigz L Die , but then I was flicking through the calendar to see what was coming up in the first few months of the year when Easter popped up, and well you can probably guess what jumped into my online shopping basket after that!

If the weather is nice this year, I’ll organise a little Easter egg hunt in the back garden. We’ve got lots of places to hide them and the boys will love it. We’ve been to organised hunts before but I’ve not really enjoyed them that much for some reason.

I’ve made the Bedlam Brothers these little baskets to collect the eggs in. They both love the Cheerful Critters photopolymer stamp set so it was an easy design to come up with. I love that the Critters are “hiding” in the grass (made with the Fringe scissors). They are the same design to avoid any fighting over who has which one: which is a frequent battle in this household. They fight over which colour bowl, plate, cup etc etc they are going to have and yes, they always both want the same one!

I got the idea for using the Alphabet Rotary Stamp for the boys’ names, from a team mate Jenny. She posted about it on my upline’s team facebook page. This stamp had bypassed my radar for some reason. I don’t know why, as it’s a really useful addition to the stash.

Do you like my little Easter Egg? I covered the bunny’s face before inking the stamp and then cut the arms and ears off.

I also used designed a more grown up Berry Basket for my class ladies, for February’s class. It’s so pretty and can be used for gifts for any occassion, not just Easter.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May easter gift berry bigz

I teamed it up with the Painted Petals stamp set, which is available in wood, clear and photopolymer. It’s a really pretty watercolour effect stamp set. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, available in wood or clear.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s projects. Thanks for stopping by!

Don’t forget there’s still a few weeks Sale-a-bration left.

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015 Top 10

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015 Top 10 – No. 8 Hello You Thinlits Dies

Good morning peeps, hope you all had a fine and dandy weekend. I’m kicking off the start to the week with Number 8. from my own personal top 10 favourites from the new Stampin’ Up! ® Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue – the Hello You Thinlits Dies.

These were on my wish list as soon as I saw a sneak peek of them from the US Founders Circle get together in the autumn (or Fall, for those of you visiting from across the pond).

I teamed the sentiment up with Painted Petals Photopolymer stamp set. This set is also available in wood and clear if you prefer.

stampin up independent demonstrator Tracy May Hello You card making ideas

I tried to make a mask with the word “happy” but I didn’t stamp enough for it to work properly. I “saved” the card though by sticking layers of the word on top of each other. I think it’s a rather bright and well….happy card, don’t you?

Finally I made a little gift bag for the raffle prize for my class last week. Very cheery!

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s projects. There’s only two to go now from my Spring/Summer (Occasions) Catalogue 2015. If you don’t want to miss a post, then please do sign up to follow me by email!

Have a happy, crafty day.

Thanks for stopping by.

P.S. Don’t forget about Sale-a-bration, which runs until the end of March. There’s some fantastic free gifts to choose from.

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer Top 10 – No.7 Chalkboard Paper and ColorBox Chalk Ink

Stampin’ Up! Chalkboard Paper and ColorBox Chalk Inks

Hi, I’m back with No. 7 from my Stampin’ Up! ® Spring/Summer  Catalogue Top 10! Today’s projects are all made using the fabulous new Chalkboard Paper and ColorBox Chalk Inks. There are 3 colours available in the inks: Citrus Yellow, Aquamarine and Rose Coral.

There is a smooth side to the Chalkboard paper which is for stamping with the ColorBox Chalk Inks. The results are a lovely muted chalky effect. The other more slightly coarses side of the Chalkboard paper is ideal for stamping with the Stampin’ White Craft Ink.

I made this card using the Big Day! stamp set, which you can choose as one of the free Sale-a-bration gifts with a £45 order.

Don’t think the ColorBox Chalk inks can only be used with the Chalkboard paper. I teamed them up with velum and Whsiper White card stock. You get a completely different look – the colours are strong and vibrant.

This is a “tongue-in-cheek” card for my sons to give their grandfather. He’s really not into birthday cards but he’s getting one anyway! I used the Hooray It’s Your Day set again – No. 3 in my list from the Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer Catalogue

Another little velum gift bag using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s projects. Have a great weekend. I hope you get the chance to do some crafting. Thanks for stopping by

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer Top 10 – No. 5 Cheerful Critters

Tracy May Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – My Top 10. from the new Spring/Summer Catalogue 2015 (No.5)

Good morning peeps. Hope you are all good and looking forward to the weekend. I’m back (so pleased I’m managing to stick to my schedule) with No. 5 from my personal Spring/Summer Top 10 favourites from the Stampin’ Up! ® Catalogue 2015 – Cheerful Critters Photopolymer stamp set.

When I first bought this stamp set, it was with a practical head on. Firstly I wanted stamp sets for colouring with the Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers (Stampin Up!’s alcohol ink markers), and secondly it had to be a stamp set I would use myself. I think I may have mentioned I generally make things for people and use those projects for my blog posts. As I have two small children, who are frequently invited to birthday parties, I thought the Cheerful Critters was particularily good for children’s cards. I’ve used it for 4 such birthdays and I must say it has become a firm favourite – it’s fun and the kids love it. Win, win!

I also used the Hooray It’s Your Day photopolymer stamp set for the sentiment and the eagle eyed amongst you will have spotted the background splodges from the free Sale-a-bration stamp set Best Day Ever!

I decided to team this card up with the On Film Framelits.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s projects. I will be back with more next week. In the meantime, have a fabulous weekend.

My Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer Top 10 – No. 3 Hooray It’s Your Day Card Kit

Hooray It’s Your Day! Good morning, I hope you all had a lovely weekend. It’s a bit of a grey day here but there’s lots of hustle and bustle as work continues on our extension. I’ve got some bright and cheery cards for you today, which are from the new Stampin’ Up! Hooray It’s Your Day Project Kit with it’s co-ordinating Hooray It’s Your Day Photopolymer stamp set. This kit is my No. 3 in my Top 10 from the new Spring/Summer catalogue 2015.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May cardmaking ideas project kits

Can you spot my not so deliberate mistake on the card below? With a clever save (even if I do say so myself lol) of a strip of washi tape!

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May cardmaking ideas project kits

I have to admit, I would have bought this kit just for the Sunburst mask that comes with it, but it’s packed with fantastic card bases, embellishments and coloured envelopes – enough to make 20 cards. I’ve been struggling with spritzing for some reason, so I sponged the ink over the masks. I will master the technique though (it’s on my todo list!).

For the above two cards, I used the co-ordinating Hooray It’s Your Day Photopolymer stamp set. However, there is nothing to say you can’t use what you have already. I used the Thanks stamp from the Hip Hip Hooray Simply Created Card Kit for the sentiment for this card.

stampin up uk independent demonstrator Tracy May cardmaking ideas project kits

You also don’t have to follow the Stampin’ Up! card designs shown on the kit instructions. Go on be creative and come up with your own designs. I simply reversed the card blank for this card, but you can come up with so many other designs, which I will be doing later on once I’ve finished my Top 10!

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s projects. Don’t forget about the Sale-a-bration offer. Feel free to contact me for more details. If you’re interested in signing up I am more than happy to have a no obligation chat with you and would love to welcome you to my team.

Thanks for stopping by. Pop back on Wednesday for No. 4 in my Top 10.
