Summer Silhouettes Shadow Stamping from Stampin’ Up!

Summer Silhouettes Shadow Stamping from Stampin’ Up!

I’ve decided that I need to get back to using some of my lovely stamp sets from the annual catalogue that have been neglected so much of late. So today my project is using Summer Silhouettes from Stampin’ Up! ®. I have had this set for ages and think I have actually only made one other card with it (well two but both were in this post).

I have seen some stunning watercolour backgrounds with an allium created by using just the dandelions from the Balloon Celebration set, like the one on the right in this photo from the Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer Catalogue.

Occasions16_p13_2

I wanted something a bit quicker though, so I teamed Summer Silhouettes up with Balloon Celebration and came up with this…

Summer Silhouettes Shadow Stamping from Stampin' Up! Tracy May

I couldn’t quite capture the shimmer of the White Shimmer paper I used for the card front on the photo unfortunately, but it’s lovely in real life.

I masked a strip down the card front using two large Post-It notes, and then sponged with Soft Sky ink to create the background. I then shadow stamped the stem first in Soft SKy and then Night of Navy, repeating the process for the flowers and some of the dandelions “floating” away in the air.

I added some sequins and rhinestones along with the metallic silver thread to jazz it up a bit. Overall I’m quite pleased with the results. I don’t think it’s a wow card though, so the challenge is on to come up with something similar but which stretches my skills and ends up with the wow too! Watch this space! LoL!

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s projects.  Don’t forget the Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration promotion finishes at the end of March.

Another Thank You from Stampin’ Up!

Another Thank You from Stampin’ Up! – Online Code Club Thank You Cards and Gifts

Another Thank You from Stampin’ Up! I think is my most used stamp set. I love this stamp set, for I am forever making thank you cards and there are six Thank You or Thanks stamps in the set. I make all my customers thank you cards no matter how small or large the order, everyone gets them!

Today’s projects are the matching thank you and gift packaging I made and sent out to my online customers who used my Monthly gift club code in February. And today’s post is extra exciting as I am adding this post to the super lovely Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights competition!
Another Thank You from Stampin' Up! Tracy May Bedlam & Butterflies

I started by mixing some inks on a palette tray and adding water. I used various yellows, blues, oranges and pinks and then water coloured a couple of pieces of watercolour card stock. Whilst the water colour paper dried, I masked a card front with my home made circle mask (I used the Circle framelits to cut a circle out of the middle of a piece of window sheet so I can reuse the mask) and then covered the circle with Soft Sky ink using a piece of sponge – any ink blending tool will do! Then I stamped over the middle with the Thank You from Another Thank You from Stampin’ Up! in Pool Party.

Another Thank You from Stampin' Up! Tracy May Bedlam & Butterflies

Once the water colour paper was dry, I cut out the butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches. The next step was to add the Linen thread around the middle of the butterflies. I separated the strands of the thread as I wanted to keep it very thin.

Another Thank You from Stampin' Up! Tracy May Bedlam & Butterflies

I then stuck the butterflies to the front of the card bases and cut out some of the circles and added them to the front of glassine gift bags along with the butterflies. I loved the effect of the butterflies “flying” in an arc up the front of the cards and the gift bags! What do you think?

All the gifts have been packaged up and sent out now!

Sheltering Tree From Stampin’ Up!

Sheltering Tree From Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer 2016 Catalogue - SAB

There’s a cherry blossom tree across the road from my house, which has been blossoming on and off since about December. The poor thing has gotten totally confused with the weather oscillating (or is it vacillating?) between very mild and then decidedly chilly. I tried to take a photograph of the tree but I couldn’t capture the lovely colours of the blossom and the tree with my limited photography skills (another one for my long list of courses I would like to take)!

Sheltering Tree from Stampin' Up! Tracy May

The poor tree inspired todays card, which I made last week. It was forecast to snow at the weekend but other than a very feeble attempt on Saturday and again this morning, it has failed to do so!

After blending Soft Sky ink all over a Whisper White card front, I stamped the tree trunk from Sheltering Tree from Stampin’ Up! in Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso. Then I stamped the leaf or blossom part of the stamp set, first in Rose Red and then over stamped in Craft White ink, slightly off-setting the white, to attempt to create the pink and white cherry blossom of the tree across the road.

Sheltering Tree from Stampin' Up! Tracy May

I used one of the brush strokes stamps from Work of Art stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. What do you think? I think it’s turned out quite well – but then I would, wouldn’t I? Lol!

Don’t forget that Sale-a-bration ends on 31st March. It’s a fantastic time to buy the Starter Kit! You could always choose Sheltering Tree as part of it, as it’s totally customisable, meaning you choose exactly what YOU want in your kit! You get 45 € | £30 more in your kit until 31st March – so come and join the fun! New Stampin' Up! Catalogue and Sale-a-bration

Hello Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration Free Stamp Set

Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Free Products

Hello Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration Free Stamp Set is a great little set for birthdays and general greetings cards for both kids and grown ups alike. Hello Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Free Stamp Set Tracy May

First up I have a more grown up card – either male or female, I think. What do you reckon? I found it quite calm and relaxing making this card. I actually heat embossed the sentiment although it doesn’t show to well in the photo.

Hello Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Free Stamp Set Tracy May

I inked up the stamp first in Versamark and then in Real Red, before covering with clear embossing powder and heat setting. The brightness of the red prompted another idea which is altogether different!

Hello Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Free Stamp Set Tracy May

This card is a bit more in your face than the other one isn’t it? Lol! Making this card made me really smile, it’s so bright and cheerful it was hard to feel down whilst I was making it!

You can earn either of these products free with an order of 60 € | £45 or both with an order of 120 € | £90.

I will be sharing more projects with both of these over the next few weeks. In the meantime do you know about my monthly Gift Code? Here’s the details. This is a personal gift from me and is independent of any Stampin’ Up! promotions.

Online Ordering Thank You Gift

Would you like to receive a free thank you gift when ordering online?

If you shop with me, I would like to send you a little treat as a thank you and to show you how much I appreciate you choosing me as your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.

So how do you receive your thank you gift?

At the start of every month, I will issue a new code on my blog. It will be in both the side bar menu and at the bottom of every blog post. The code for January is X22BYMDX.

Simply add the code to your online order and you will receive a free gift from me once the code is closed at the end of the month. When I close the code each month, the host rewards will be calculated and divided between all the people who have placed an order, using the code, that month. Each person will be sent a gift, directly from me. Please allow a couple of weeks i.e. until the middle of the following month for this to arrive, to allow time for me to order the free gifts and then package them up and send them on (the postage for the free gift will be covered by me).

Your order will not be affected by using the code and will be sent to you in the usual way. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE CODE IF YOUR ORDER IS £150 / 200 €, as your own order will be eligible for the Stampin’ Rewards.

Please make sure the settings under your “My Account” allow me to contact you. If they don’t, then even if you use the code, I will be unable to see who you are and will not be able to send you your thank you gift;

Allow Contact from your demonstrator

The free gift can only be sent for orders that are placed using the code. Unfortunately it isn’t possible to update an order to add the code once it’s been submitted.

When you are placing an order, and you are ready to check out,  add the code before you hit the Check Out button. You will be prompted to add a code when you are checking out if you forget at this point.

Add the Monthly Host Code to your order

Please do get in touch if you need any help in any way with using the code and placing online orders. I am more than happy to help tracyj.may71@gmail.com or 07788746908

Sale-a-bration Free product from Stampin’ Up!

Sale-a-bration Free product from Stampin’ Up!

Sale-a-bration the biggest promotion from Stampin’ Up! is well underway now. Last week I talked about the benefits of signing up as a demonstrator during Sale-a-bration. This week I want to let you know about the Free product you can earn.

New Stampin' Up! Catalogue and Sale-a-bration

For every £45 you spend  you can choose one free Sale-a-bration item. The offer is not limited by order so for example if you spend £90 you can choose 2 free items and £120 choose 3 etc.

Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration free product Sky is the Limit Tracy May

I teamed Sky is the Limit set up with the Watercolour Wash background stamp to create the sky. I used a strip of Everyday Chic Designer Washi tape and black card to hide some mucky finger prints! Oops. Also the little banner on the top  is hiding a splodge of orange ink! Double oops! I have no idea how it got there but I think both add to the card and it would have been a little plain (ha ha ha pun intended) otherwise!

Sale-a-bration runs until March 31st, however, Sky is the limit is one of the free items you can choose. This stamp set is one of the three free Sale-a-bration products that are only available until February 15th. From February 16th a new set of free products will be made available.

This set is very versatile and makes great cards for guys. I made this card for my Father-in-law’s birthday this week. He’s going to be 87 so the card is kind of tongue in cheek with that old fashioned aeroplane! 🙂

You can see the other free products you can choose from in the Sale-a-bration brochure. Click your language to download the pdf which is available in English, French and German.

Card ideas for Picture Perfect from Stampin’ Up!

Card ideas for Picture Perfect from Stampin’ Up!

I’m back with more Card ideas for Picture Perfect from Stampin’ Up!. You can see the other cards I have made using this wonderful stamp set in this post and this post. I love this stamp set. I immediately thought of old black and white or sepia photos when I saw it, which is probably what the designers had in mind given the name! Lol!

It took a couple of attempts of playing around with the colours on the hummingbird before I got the effect I was after and I still have other ideas in mind to try out too! But take a look and let me know what you think.

Card ideas for Picture Perfect from Stampin' Up! Tracy May

I used Timeless Textures again for this card! Don’t worry Gorgeous Grunge I have not forgotten you! Lol! I first stamped the frame around the card and then used the grid stamp to mimic a trellis on a garden wall or fence.

Card ideas for Picture Perfect from Stampin' Up! Tracy May

I used the flourish or fleur de lit stamp to mimic a creeper plant that a hummingbird would feed from. My friend I made the card for loved it thankfully!

I made another version at the same time using a different colour scheme. I love both but think they grey one is my favourite. How about you – which do you prefer?

My friend’s husband was with her, when I gave her the card and he was very impressed with the stamp sets used and how they work to build up the image. He’s very artistic so the whole process is very interesting to him and we ended up talking about Stampin’ Up! and how I had ended up joining as a Demonstrator and how much I love it -see my About Me page for my (short) story 🙂 – and how much I enjoy sharing Stampin’ Up! through my classes and my blog!

Rose Garden Thank You Cards

Rose Garden Thank You Cards

Yesterday I talked about my favourite benefit of being a demonstrator is the wonderful people I have met along the way and one of the cards I am showing today, is a thank you card I made for a lovely lady who I have also only met thanks to Stampin’ Up!  I love making thank you cards. I have a wonderful group of customers who I make them for and I try to make them different each time!

Stampin' Up! Rose Garden Thinlits Thank You Cards Tracy May UK Demonstrator

The card is 6″ x 6″ so I made the envelope from the Whisper White Envelope paper and I stamped it with the co-ordinating rose from Rose Wonder. I don’t often get around to stamping my envelopes, but I know the friend who I sent this card to, likes to do so, and so I made the effort! 😊

Stampin' Up! Rose Garden Thinlits Thank You Cards Tracy May UK Demonstrator

I used Rich Razzleberry for the rose and the leaves are Old Olive. I simply cut out the full die cut in Rich Razzleberry and then just the leaves from the Old Olive. I only needed to trim them very slightly and then stuck them over the top of the Razzleberry leaves. It looks great!

Stampin' Up! Rose Garden Thinlits Thank You Cards Tracy May UK Demonstrator

I also made a standard A6 version using the smaller rose in Melon Mambo, with the leaves from the main larger rose. Also I cut the tags using Tags & Labels Thinlits before stamping a sentiment from Another Thank You (a brilliant set to have!).

The design was inspired by some gift packaging I saw on Pinterest, which used real flowers. I love how clean and simple the cards are but very elegant and beautiful – in my oh so humble opinion anyway lol! 😂

New Stampin' Up! Catalogue and Sale-a-bration

Well you’re still umming and ahhing about signing up there are other benefits to being a demonstrator too such as discounts, setting your own hours, making it a full-time job or just part-time to earn extra money.

Stampin' Up! Rose Garden Thinlits Thank You Cards Tracy May UK Demonstrator

There are different types of benefits to being a demonstrator. You can be a hobby demonstrator where you sign up just to get a discount on your personal purchases. Or you can sign up to run it as a business and how you run your business is entirely up to you! Whether you want to do home parties, run classes or blog in order to sell Stampin’ Up! products or even a combination of all three is your choice.

Birthday Blooms Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board Gift Box

Birthday Blooms Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board Gift Box

New Stampin' Up! Catalogue and Sale-a-bration

I’m back today with a project that was inspired by Pootles aka Sam Donald. She had posted a very pretty pink gift box (which you can see here) using Birthday Blooms to decorate it. I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board to make my box. It’s really quick and easy and I will have a video for you next week with a different stamp set and colour scheme and all the measurements etc. The box is specifically sized for a box of Rose and Violet flavoured chocolates, that I was sending to a lovely friend of mine.

Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board Birthday Blooms Tracy May UK Demonstrator

The gift box is made out of the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack. I used the silvery polka dot print. Then layered a piece of Smoky Slate Card stock over what would have been the back, if it were an envelope.

The flower from Birthday Blooms is stamped in Smoky Slate onto Shimmery White Card stock. I added the strips of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper – which is gorgeous – and stamped some pink flowers to add a touch of colour.

What do you think? I love it, but then I would, wouldn’t I? Lol! But more importantly my friend loved it too!

One of the best things for me about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, is the people you meet. I would not have met my lovely friend, if it weren’t for Stampin’ Up! I am part of a team of wonderful, warm, friendly and fun people.

As well as the face-to-face-occasions for get togethers meeting up in the virtual world is so easy in today’s technology and I love that I can interact with people in different countries both in Europe and often over the other side of the world to me.

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, and you are interested in signing up as a Demonstrator, I would love to welcome you to my growing team!

You can become a demonstrator for just 129 €/£99 and choose a whopping 220 € / £160 worth of product for your Starter Kit. Plus, the kit ships for free!

The Sky Is the Limit from Stampin’ Up!

New Stampin' Up! Catalogue and Sale-a-bration

I made today’s project using Sky is the Limit from Stampin’ Up! and teamed it up with the fabulous new Sunburst Thinlits Die from the Spring/Summer 2016 Catalogue. It’s one of the stamp sets on offer during Sale-a-bration, but only until 15th February, when it will be replaced by something new – woohoo!
